Chapter 12- Namjoon's Past

If YN's brothers wanted Namjoon to let YN go and marry someone else now or in future well that was never going to happen. Namjoon never let his things go! He was possessive over everything. That included people too in the mix.

Namjoon's Childhood- Namjoon had been a spoiled child as the only child of rich parents, he was always spoiled, and possessive of his toys or even his pet dog when younger. His possessions had also included his parents as well in the past. He didn't like others talking with or spending time with them. They were for him and him alone. They had to be focused on him constantly. It may have been they were busy when he was young so gave him too many things to make up for it? It was never really determined. Looking back he felt loved though and they were good to him. Something just went wrong somehow even with good intentions they managed to create a monster hiding within that would need release at some point to get out.

When his parents divorced Namjoon was torn at that time of the age of 12 and told to make a choice between them on who to stay with. Unable to do so his mind broke down, driven by his own need to possess and keep "His Things" near by him. He tracked down his mother soon after she left the house within a few days. Of course she called him daily at least once but that wasn't enough. Namjoon and his father had stayed behind in the house that had always been his home. Namjoon felt lost and alone since something was missing now. He wanted his mother back. Namjoon still lived there still today in that huge big mansion of many rooms. At the time though it was a constant reminder for him that something wasn't there anymore.

Namjoon had met his best friend, well only friend really early on too. J-Hope he found at school many years ago. J-Hope was known to be a difficult bad boy by the teachers who had a bad home life and knew how to fight and hurt people. He got into trouble often. Namjoon was one of the few who talked with him or wasn't afraid of him. Of course Namjoon was bigger and stronger than J-Hope. Namjoon had helped him through things. He gave him food and money took him under his wing a bit so things were easier. J-Hope was Namjoon's first real friend.

As J-Hope exposed his own secrets which were more violent in nature, Namjoon told of his own thoughts and problems. J-Hope was more worldly and street wise. Namjoon being sheltered up till then was more innocent of how the world worked. It was fascinating to see that side of life and exciting to find out about it for Namjoon. It was like going in the fast lane for the first time in a speeding car when you were used to plodding along at a slow stead pace before. It was thrilling to find out things you didn't know or had never been exposed to before.

Namjoon had shared his own heartache at his mother being gone for the first time with his friend. Namjoon at the age of 12, had a plan to bring back his mom when she left after the divorce. "The Plan" at the time included J-Hope beating up Namjoon while he took the punches and kicks, so Namjoon could say his father did it instead. It had worked! His mother had come running when called on the claim from the phone. Things had not gone that well after though in that regard as Namjoon tricked her to coming there to the house and kept his mom confined to a locked room in the house in the basement to keep her nearby. Namjoon being only a child, did not realize that his mother would hurt herself or try to take her own life just to escape the prison after being there a bit of time and not being able to leave. Namjoon had not found her in time to prevent it from happening. She had done something drastic when he was away to school during the day. He discovered everything himself hours later when he returned much too late. She was already gone far from him and everyone and no longer in this life.

Namjoon's father had been very angry on discovering the scene and yelled and argued with his son on what he had done. In the middle of the harsh yelling after discovering the body after his wife was already deceased and past help, Namjoon accidentally pushed the older man trying to make him stop his tirade. His father hit his head on a table in the room and blood poured out. The older man did not awaken after that time or any time after. Namjoon felt responsible for it all. He killed his parents. Namjoon was only 12 years old. He was alone.
