In an empire of storms,
your voice arose above the ruins.
Was dancing to its tune a forbidden delight?
Was the tenderness I saw in your gaze mere moonlight?
I was in a place that was neither the past nor the present.
Our hearts were beating in cadence with the symphony of the universe ,
our breathes entwined with the whispers of the spirits.
But when our parallel walk ceased,
I knew I had lost you on the path of life, and with it my peace.
I decided in that moment to let go of the sparkling I saw in your eyes at twilight,
the way your strands cascaded like delicate frost,
shifting with each brush of the cool breeze,
the way they reflected the moon's gleam,
adorned in the ethereal hues of silvery flames.
Our tale began out of a forbidden lust,
our hearts, divine instruments, played a clandestine waltz.
A melody we never chose to acquire.
A memory I now yearn to let combust into hellfire.
