In a world where everything had been obscured,
locking us in a coffin of reeking mist.
Smokey silhouettes encircling us.
I could still discern your scent.
Amber and citrus,
embracing each of my wobbling steps,
a warm breeze in a frosted meadow,
guiding me through a sea of shadows and cinders,
a dim light piercing the tenebrous realm.
Strong hands held my waist,
whirling me to face his chest.
Inhaling his scent was the elixir to my forged wounds,
a heavenly midnight.
"I love you" barely a whisper through the dusk.
His voice was a melancholic melody played under the moonlight.
We clung on to each other in this ephemeral space,
until stardust remained, our last sweet trace.
