It was 5pm. I was done with my detention and was helping my friends do their assignment on a zoom call. No I was basic doing their assignment. All they were doing was coping what I was typing on the screen. Lucky bastards.

I was sitting near window almost feeling like the main character of a romance novel. My grapefruit lollipop sliding from one corner of my mouth to other. All I needed now was my prince charming who can finally teach these brats a lesson and make them do their own homework!

"There! All done" I huff and lean back on my chair after typing the last word.

"Thank you so much, my goddess! I owe you my life in my next life!" Kevin, my Australian friend clutches his chest and sheds fake happy tears. As you can see, he's a dramatic one. I call him Shortie for his lack of towering physic and for having too many facial features of a girl. Don't blame me, I know he loves it when I call him that.

My bestie, Aubrey claps her hand as if she came to a decision "Now, each of you pay me 10 bucks since I managed to get Elle do the homework for us" she lends out the palm of her hand begging for money.

I scoff and roll my eyes at my bestie's lack of gratitude.

"Please Elle helped us only because I told her that I'll give her 100s of kisses and hugs when I'll meet her the next time" Mía, my Mexican says in her Mexican accent. It's so contagious, sometimes I start talking in the accent without realizing it.

I giggle as they keep bickering on who accomplished the mission impossible, that is, convincing me to do their assignment. Bending my waist backward I try to stretch. TRY to. Then hit me the pain of the century. I moan and wince my eyes in pain as I take in the stinging sensation. Some of my stitches open up. I hold my breath as I try to get used to the pain but it's impossible. Stretching was a bad decision. "Shit" I curse as I take a look at my opened up injury near my fine looking abs lifting my top.

I hear my friends fussing and worrying in my airpods. But I couldn't answer. I needed immediate medical attention.

"I'll fill you guys in later. I need to go now. Bye guys" I end the call before they could even reply and put my belongings on the table in my bag.

As I stagger toward the exit with the excruciatingly pain. A student body crashes against my side and I yelp as I lose my balance and fall forward.

I close my eyes to welcome the incoming pain. But the pain never came. Someone grabs my waist and grips it tightly. Then lifts me up to my feet like I'm the most fragile doll that ever existed. I lift my gaze and my brown eyes meet with grey and blue ones staring back at me making my heart jump. Who else? My seatmate. His gaze falls on my lips which was holding my lollipop pipe at one corner. And my heartbeat skyrockets. I frown in response biting my lower lip. His pupils immediately dilates. But as soon as he meets my eyes again, he lets go of me and steps back. Making me feel weirdly cold at the lack of body warmth.

I clear my throat as I slide my lollipop out and say "Thank you" as I step back as well creating distance between us. He ignores me and brushes past me as if I offended him or something. Then I realize I was frowning. Again. My thank you must've looked so forced. I really need to work on my facial expressions.

I huff as I exit the library. I smiled at every people I looked at the rest of the way to the hotel. They frowned at me in return, some blushed ,but anyways I need to fix myself ,even if it makes me look weird.
