Chapter two.

*Luke's Point Of View*

I opened my eyes and looked to my right to see Merideth innocently sleeping next to me. I couldn't help but love her. She was perfect. She always has been and always will be. I could have had her but I fucked up and went with Dani to make her jealous. I should have just asked her out and she would have been all mine. Technically I asked her out last night right? But what am I going to do with Dani? i have to call it off. She obviously isn't interested in me if she's sneaking off with other boys, and worse. Logan. He's the biggest player I know, plus he's into drugs and all that fancy shit. I really need to get Dani out of my life.

I slowly got out of Merideth's bed without waking her and grabbed her MacBook and typed in her password.

I laughed as I remembered why she called it that. 'Boobear' because she nicknamed Beau that when we were just kids, and 35 for mine and Jais birthdays. Oh and of course 28 for hers. I decided to log into twitter to get my mind off of the whole Dani situation.

"Morning Lukey" Merideth said between a yawn.

"Hey Mer, sleep well?" I asked smiling.

"It's my bed, what do you think?" She said as I laughed at her. Her bed was amazing, and I'm pretty sure at one point Beau, Jai, Merideth and me all slept in it on the same night because it was like heaven.

I took in a deep breath and bit my lip.

"Merideth, I need to break up with Dani.." I said so fast that I didn't even know if she heard me or not.

"Well, how are you gonna do it?" She asked as if she knew it had to happen.

I closed my eyes and thought about that question myself.

"I'm gonna invite her over to my house, and I'll tell her there. I'll just tell her that I'm sorry I'm not good enough. Oh and you're coming with me to be a witness incase she hurts me" I laughed and looked into Merideth's eyes

"Okay, well give me 10?" Merideth said smiling. I walked out of the room to let her get ready, and went downstairs to get something to eat. 

I took a seat on the couch and pulled out my phone and texted Dani.

To Dani:

Hey, meet me at mine in 15 minutes? We need to talk.

I quickly sent the message and within seconds I had a reply.

From Dani:

yeh, k.

I decided not to reply to her, and before I knew it Merideth came running down the stairs looking effortlessly beautiful.

I smiled as we walked over the road to my house, and to my surprise Dani was already there.

"Hey!" She said as she came and gave me a big bear hug. This made me flinch.

"Dani, we need to talk." I said as Merideth left the room to play xbox with Jai.

"Yeah, ok."

"Well, um. Dani, we need to break up. I'm sorry that I'm not good enough and that you have to sneak around with other guys. And the truth is, that I've lost any feelings for you. I'm really sorry, but it's not working out. And I'm sorry I wasn't good enough. Go find someone else to cheat on." I spat out at her as I realised what I said. I din't regret one word. Yeah, I kind of sounded like a dickhead, but it had to be said.

"What so you can hook up with that slut Merideth?" She scowled at me.

"Get out." I said as I pointed to the door.

"And by the way. She is not a slut. I'd rather Merideth over you anyday. At least I can trust her." I said.

I did it. Dani was out of my life. Well, for now.

*Merideth's Point Of View*

"And by the way. She is not a slut. I'd rather Merideth over you anyday. At least I can trust her." I heard Luke say as I flinched. He stood up for me? This is just one of the many reasons why I had fallen so hard for Luke. My thoughts were interrupted by Luke's footsteps heading in my direction, he was grinning from ear to ear.

"You seem happy!" I said cheerfully

"Of course, she's gone!" Luke said.

We stayed quiet for a few moments before I finally spoke.

"Luke, thanks for what you said…About me not being a slut and that you'd rather me anyday…" I trailed off.

"Only because it's true." Luke said looking deep into my eyes. I smiled and he engulfed me into the biggest hug, I loved this boy so so much. Everything at this moment was perfect.
