* E's P.O.V*
"Everyone's eyes up front, no cell phones and absolutely NO talking."
The teacher leaves out the room.
What a fucken drag. Why am I even here? I wasn't even skipping, I was just late. Besides I have a serious medical condition that was genetically inherited called 'chronic lateness' passed on by the great Evelyn. That woman is never on time for anything and guess who she passed that onto? Me. So in theory this isn't even my fault, it's just in my genes.
"What are you in here for?" A random girl asks.
"Not really in the mood to socialize. Just wanna get this over with." I respond not turning around.
"Wow Boo Bear, Fuck you." She says with an attitude.
"Boo Bear?" Wtf. There's only one person who ever called me that.
I turn around and my eyes widen.
"Mari? When did you- I thought you- How are you-" She cuts me off.
"Surprised to see me?" Marissa says smiling.
I'd be lying if I said that apart of me wasn't happy to see her. She left without so much as a goodbye. My heart was broken but now I felt nothing but irritation for her.
"No. What are you even doing here? You left without so much as a goodbye and you just think we're suppose to be all cordial now? Fuck that." I say irritated.
"You're still as sassy as ever, God I missed you." She stares into my eyes.
She put her hand on my cheek and I removed it instantly.
"Don't" I say sternly
"I missed you babe." She moves closer.
"You don't get to do that. You don't get to leave and come back like nothing ever happened. You don't get to call me that and you don't get the type of access to me that you use to. You left like it was nothing. You made your choice Marissa and I moved on." I say monotone.
"Moved on? You can't replace me so I'm not worried. You'll be back because you know deep down that I'm the one for you and I always have been. I know you miss me." She places her hand on my thigh.
Electricity runs down my spine and in between my thighs.
I flinch but didn't move her hand, she moves her hand further up my thigh.
As much as I want her I won't give into Mari, as good as she looks I won't give in.
I move her hand away and smirk.
"You think I'm that easy Mari? I love how you underestimate me, you were always good at that but hear me when I say I. Don't. Want. You." I say walking out the room.
"Where are you going?" She calls after me.
I know I'll regret walking out later but that's a problem for another day.
I look at the time just a little past 4, if I speed home maybe just maybe I can avoid an argument with Evelyn.
As I'm walking home I feel my phone vibrate, it's Nao.
I missed you today, you ditching me already? ;)
The way this woman makes me smile ear to ear effortlessly never ceases to amaze me.
Me: I got detention
Nao: Such a bad boy ;o
Me: Hey hey hey, I'm not bad just misunderstood
Nao: Aren't we all? Anywho wyd now
Me: Walking home
Nao: Detention ended already?
Me: Nah, I left didn't feel like being there
Nao: #badboy lol but I just realized you're walking home, why didn't you text me? I would've came and picked you up.
Me: You're not my personal Uber driver Nao, it's okay. I could use the exercise anyway but see you in the morning? :)
Nao: Yes, yes you will.
