“Oh he wants the kitchen sink.” Yesi laughed.
“We’ll split the list in half between the two of you. I’ll get the balloons and arches.”
“I'll shop up to Who’s That Baby.” Cass offered.
Nodding the women disappeared while Abijah looked over at the cashier. She was a heavy set woman with strawberry blond hair naturally streaked white. Her kind chubby face was doted with cute freckles. Smirking the girl walked to the counter while pulling out her phone.
“Excuse me, do you have anything to match this style?”
The woman looked up with a smile then retrieved a pair of bifocals from her shirt pocket. After slipping them on she looked at the image, scanning each item.
“All balloons are in aisle seven, dear, the boy stuff will be on the right side. I believe we actually have a balloon set to match that table cover, as it looks to be a part of the Sweet Baby collection. I would also recommend looking into the Farmer’s Son collection and Baby Bloomer collection.”
“Thank you and what about arches?”
“You’ll find those in ten, same collections should do just fine.”
“Thank you Ma'am.”
“My pleasure darling and good luck in your search. If you need any help I’ll be here.”
Smiling Abijah walked to aisle seven then looked to the right. Her eyes immediately fell on the set the woman spoke of. Taking a picture she sent it to Dominik before looking for the other two collections mentioned. Among the Farmer’s Son section she found blue foil flower balloons that matched the ones on the cloth and lanterns. As well as dusty blue, gold and white balloons on Baby Bloomers portion of the shelf. Taking pictures of each she sent them to Dominik and looked for more. After a picture of a pack of confetti balloons, gold and silver metallic ones, and light metallic blues he told her to stop and get the 2 arches.
As she walked her phone buzzed causing her to pause and pull it out of her pocket. Looking at the caller ID she couldn’t help the bright smile that spread across her face.
“Hello?”
“Where the fuck are you, this place fuckin sucks without you!”
“California, remember I gotta help with my cousin’s Baby Shower.”
“When will you be back? I miss you.”
“I legit just left this morning.”
“Yeah but…..Fuck I don’t know I miss you…..like all the god damn time……”
“Awww, Caaaaaaarl.”
“Oh shut up!”
They both laughed for a moment then he went quiet.
“So what are you doing right now?”
“Looking for arches.”
“Arches?……aren’t those for like weddings?”
“They use them in showers too. Thin ones you can cover with balloons for photos.”
“Sounds like a waste of money.”
