"Ah... ha... S-Six, hit me harder~!"
"Shut the hell up! Why do you have to be so immature?!"
Six and Nine stand on opposite sides of a small clearing of grass, having another fight as per usual. "Seriously! I can't even kick your ass without you making stupid jokes like that!" The cyan integer yells, making Nine flinch a little. "Look, man, I didn't even mean for this to happen in the first place! I'm just trying to cheer you up, I don't want to fight you!" He shouts, voice cracking with apprehension as the air between them only becomes increasingly more tense. "Well maybe you shouldn't've messed with me in the first place! I swear to math, it's a miracle I've even tolerated you acting like such a child all this time!" The paler number folds his arms, frowning.
"I don't! I'm more mature than that! You're just... mean!" He shoots back, unable to come up with anything better to say as he chokes down tears. "Here we go again. You know what Nine, let's just consider ourselves strangers to each other. I don't want to be around a child, let alone date one." Six scoffs. "Don't talk to me until you can grow up a little, or I'm gonna mess you up so bad you'll look like a whole different number for a MONTH!" They snarl, storming off furiously. "Fine! Be that way then! You... You REEK anyways!" Nine tries to yell after them, only getting ignored as his voice cracks harshly. He stomps on the ground, angrily crying out and shouting curses to himself as he takes his anger out on the grass, even ripping it out of the ground angrily. "They're so lame anyway!" They yell, snatching their skateboard up from the ground and racing off somewhere else to go cool off.
Tears sting Nine's eyes as he pulls up to his secret sitting spot, kicking his board angrily as he slumps down on the ground, next to a rather large shade tree. He sighs shakily, pulling his sunglasses off so they don't get smeared and fogged with his tears. He fidgets with his snazzy shades as his tears soak his face, dripping down onto the ground, and sometimes his fingers. A good ten or fifteen minutes pass of Nine crying by himself in silence, the integer curled up against the large shade tree miserably. A twig snapping nearby makes him jump out of his socks, at least if he had socks, and he quickly reaches for his sunnies, not wanting whoever this intruder is to know his secret.
"Hey... Nine?" Seven's voice calls out from nearby, and Nine steps out from behind the tree, leaning up against it. "Yo, Seven...! How'd you possibly find my secret spot, man?" He says nonchalantly, and the soot colored number folds his arms. "Nine, this place isn't secret. It's literally the shade tree. Everyone comes here." Nine stays painfully silent for a moment, stuck on what to say next. "Dah, well, uh... How'd you know I was here, uh.... Yo?" He stutters, giving Seven a very unconvincing grin. "I could hear you basically wailing from the playground. I was playing cards with Eight, and Five, and they made me come check on you because they didn't want to themselves. And they don't care about me. You know this." Nine still keeps up the act, shifting uncomfortably as he tries horribly to play it cool.
"Who, wha?? Little ol' me, bawling like a-" His sentence is cut off by Seven grumbling, yanking the shades off of his face to reveal his puffy, bloodshot eyes. "Hey. I might be really dumb, but you can't fool me this time Nine." Nine cries out, grasping for his shades as he seizes them back from Seven, putting them back on hurriedly. "Okay, okay... please don't tell everyone, though! I need to-" Seven interrupts Nine again, sighing. "Dear Nine, I'm afraid everyone is quite aware of your Six situation. You two only had a fistfight in the field, not like everyone could hear you two screaming at eachother a mile away" Nine scratches the back of his neck, looking down at the ground. Seven taps his shoulder, making him raise his head again. "Hey. I didn't say I was here to shame you, did I? Well- not just that." He chuckles, making Nine smile a little.
