Jessica's POV:
I never expected that I would even know Hayes let alone be dating him. This past week we've done many things together buy I also let him have time with his friends. I told my parents about him and they surprisingly like him too.
I woke up and saw a text from Hayes.

H: be ready in 10 minutes beautiful :)
J: okay:) where are we going??
H: that's for me to know😏
J: you're such a freakin tease
H: but I'm your tease
J: yea okay whatever we aren't even dating lol!😂
H: I can change that
J: see you Hayes!
H: bye beautiful👋🏽

Moments like this make me shoot that I met someone like him. I just wish we were more than friends but I don't think he feels that way.

Hayes' POV:
I really like Jessica she's different from all the other girls I've met and I want to make her mine. That's my goal for today.

Nash helped me set up a pic-nic and I think it looks good.

" you ready bro?" Nash said
" yea just nervous I really want her to say yes but I don't know if she feels the same"
" Hayes I can tell she likes you, the way she looks at you is the way I look at fruity pebbles"
" well if that's true Nash then she must like me your freakin obsessed with fruity pebbles.😂" I said laughing.
" shut up. Well go get her tiger! Don't be nervous!" Nash said giving me the best bro hug ever. I'm lucky to have an amazing brother like him.

I left the house and made my way to Jessica's.

Jessica's POV:

I'm so nervous about this I don't know why I just really like Hayes. My friend Melanie came over to help me prepare for the date. She curled my long brown hair while I did my makeup which wasn't that much. I decided to wear a summer dress since he didn't really tell me if it was casual or fancy. Once I was done I looked in the mirror and I have to say.. I look really good!!!
" omg I'm so jealous of you Jessica" Melanie said
"Literally Melanie your the prettiest girl at school"
" not true Jessica!"

We started laughing as we heard the door bell ring
" well I guess that's him" I said. On the outside I was calm but on the inside I was so freaking nervous.

I walked to the door and saw Hayes with a bouquet of flowers.
" aww Hayes you didn't have to"
" well I wanted to get beautiful flowers for a beautiful girl"
I thanked Hayes and put the flowers in a vase. We headed out and he opened the door for me. He's such a gentleman.
" so where are we going Hayes?"
" you'll see" he said which made me nervous
We drove for another 30 minutes until we came to this forest area
Hayes told me to follow him.
We walked for what felt like and hour until we got to this private beach thing
Hayes noticed me staring in amazement
" you like huh?" He said which snapped me out of my train of thought
" well duh but is this like.. Yours??"
" me and Nash found this place a while ago and I love coming here to get ideas"
" wow does anyone else know about this place??"
" no just me you and Nash"

We Walked to the pier and sat down and ate.
Everything was going pretty well when I noticed Hayes getting really nervous,
" Hayes are you okay?"
" yes I'm fine but I need to ask you something but I don't know what your gonna say"
" okay tell me" I said suddenly scared
" ever since I met you I knew there was something different about you. I knew from the start that I wanted you to be mine. Now that we are friends I've been the happiest I've ever been in my life. You changed me for the good and that's what I like about you. I really like you like a lot your personality, smile, laugh, everything. It kills me that we are just friends so I was wondering..... Will you be my girlfriend??"
" no Hayes I won't be your girlfriend.. Sorry"
" oh it's okay, we should just stay friends"
" Hayes!!! I'm kidding of course I'll be your girlfriend. I've liked you for so long that I'm surprised you haven't noticed"
" Jessica I get so nervous around you and no one else has made me feel this way and you can even ask Nash"
" Hayes I like you and my parents do too😅"
" well I guess I'm yours and your mine"
" I guess it's official Hayes"
" I'm happy right now with you, your amazing Jessica!"

I'm shocked that all of this came out of his mouth.

It started to get late so we walked back since it was like a 15 minute walk to the car. When we got back he opened the car door like he always does. He held my hand while the other was on the wheel.

We finally reached my house and we walked to my door.

" Hayes this was so nice of you!"
" your welcome just don't let those flowers die for a while, they were expensive haha"
" Hayes you know you didn't have to buy those for me"
" Jessica, I wanted to cuz you mean a lot to me and I can't lose you. I would spend any amount  on you"
" aw Hayes your so sweet thanks for everything"
" your welcome, so I guess I'll see you tomorrow"
" you sure will Hayes!"
I was about to leave when I turned around and did the unexpected.

I kissed him..

It was a sweet passionate kiss that didn't last long. After it was over I smiled at him.
