Tensura - The Mystic Realms

The Beginning.

"What do you mean both?" asked Milim and Veldora simultaneously. 

"Alright, listen to me for a minute. What if we..." 

As I explained to them the wonderful idea, if I say so myself, their faces slowly turned from confused to excited. 

"That's... I don't know what to say." 

"Wahahaha, as expected of my best friend!" shouted Milim while raising her hands. "So, Rimuru. How long will it take you to finish this?" 

"Let's see..."

'What do you think, Ciel?'

<Yes. The world that you thought about has already been created. Now it just remains to connect it to the cardinal world.>

'Hoh. Excellent job as always, Ciel.'

<Yes, master. You should save your praises until after you have seen it all. Else you will-> 

'Don't worry, Ciel. I can never run out of words to praise you.' 

<... T-thank you.> replied Ciel blushingly. <Master, I have another idea,> she said after thinking for a while. <What if we->

I see. I see. That's an excellent idea as well. 

'Alright. Let's implement it.' I declared after listening to her carefully. 'It will act as a nice surprise to everyone.'

"Everything's ready," I announced. "We can start at the moment's notice." 

"Wait, already!?" exclaimed Milim. "That was quick."

"You sure are full of surprises Rimuru," said Veldora with a hearty laughter. "Even after all these years." 

That's true. We have achieved a lot of things in the past Milinnia. And I must say, even I get surprised whenever I look back in the distant old days. Who would have thought an ordinary salaryman like me would one day turn out to be the ruler of a nation and bring world peace? Just work hard, earn money and someday hope to get married and start a family. That was the most I could have hoped for in my previous life. But here I am, inventing  and implementing groundbreaking and world-changing features every century or so. Just like this one, since I am-

"-going to make the entire world to play this game at the same time!" I said softly. 

"Rimuru?" a gentle voice broke me off. "What did you say?" 

I looked at the cute face inquiring curiously. 

"Oh, nevermind." I replied, brushing my hair. "Meet me at the Tempest Square in an hour. I will open the gateway connecting to our new world there." 

"Sure thing!" said Milim, jumping high up, unable to contain her excitement. "I will be there right on time!" She flew up in the sky, waving goodbye.

"Be sure not to wreck the place this time!" I shouted as she disappeared into the horizon. 

"Hey, Rimuru. Are you alright?" asked Veldora, staring at me.  

"Oh, it's nothing. I-"

There was a strange seriousness in his eyes, very different from his usual playful gaze. Did he notice something amiss with me? Even so, this is not the time. 

"I am fine." I said with a smile. "I was just thinking about a good name for this new world." 

"Is that all?" laughed Veldora. "Leave it to me. Let's see... This new world that you created. Going by the description you have given us, it sounds quite mystical. And it is in another realm, right? then..."
