A high screech emerged from the hollow. "Humans, humans! Dodge that bullet..." A dramatic gasp came from a light grey tabby, a little puff ball. "Oh no! Daggerfang! I will avenge your death." a soft paw pressed against a brown tabby kit's shoulder, the light grey head dipping. A giggle rumbled through the tom kit, making the she-cat growl. "No Daggerkit! Your dead you can't be laughing. Ugh forget it." The longhaired kit padded away, her fur bristling as Dagger kit laughed.
Turning her head around, her nose popped into a pure white foreleg, making her growl in pain. "Hey, what's the big I-" She clamped her mouth shut as two big emerald eyes glared down at her. "Sorry Moonstar.."
The kit growled, rubbing her nose with her paw. "Dewkit, why don't you go run along and play with the other kits." The snowy feline sighed. Dewkit growled. "They don't play fair." "So?" "So I don't want to play with them." Moonstar growled, her tail lashing. "Don't be a whiney kit, go play with them or find something to do."
Dewkit glared after her mother as Moonstar padded away, her nose bumping with the deputy's, Brackensnap. Dewkit opened her mouth and mocked her. "Oh please, be a dear and get out of my life." She snorted, laying down beside the warriors den, her head resting on her paws and her claws tore a ball of dirt. Her eyes slowly closed, seeing a dirty glare aimed at her from her mother, and wondered if she imagined it. Probably not. Her breath slowed, until she fell into a blank, confusing dream.
Gasping, Dewkit awoke, different smells coiling around her. Her fur bristled as she got up slowly. "W-where am I...Daggerkit? Foxkit? Mintkit?....Moonstar?" She called, her black nose twitching as worry pulsed through her, she didn't recognize this place at all.
She looked up to see Moonstar emerge, her white coat shimmer in the moon's shine. "Moonstar!" Dewkit squeaked, running to her. "I thought I was alone." Moonstar bent down, her muzzle rubbing against Dewkit's pelt. "Your never alone.." She paused, her eyes darkening as she stared at Dewkit. "Until now."
Dewkit's oval eyes rounded as Moonstar's paw slammed into her, knocking her into the river. Dewkit screamed, watching as Moonstar smiled and simply padded away. Cold water hit her fur, as she sank into the rushing currents of the river. She was viciously thrown against rocks and the sides of the river, sharp things easily slicing through her skin. She blinked. This was it, the end of a young, energized life. Going limp, Dewkit's large icy blue chipped eyes closed, enfolding into the darkness of the river.
