"Thena, wake up." I was shocked to see my brother's hands on both my shoulders.

"You were screaming.....nightmares?" He asked with concern. Beads of sweat were visible on his forehead.

I just stared at him. Not replying. I could also feel myself sweating. I wiped them of using the blanket that was on me.

My brother just sighed. Knowing it was a nightmare. "You have to try and forget about that day, T. You have to. You'll kill yourself if you won't." He said.

"Why, I don't see you doing so. You have no idea on how much I want to forget about that day but it still keeps on fucking coming back." I replied bitterly.

After that day, the incident.

Me and Damien walked to where dad instructed us to go. North. Figured that he had everything planned from the start. Once we reached to the border, we were greeted by an old looking man.
Soon we later realized that he was dad's cousin. He led us here now, a small and cozy house in the middle of nowhere. The house was pretty decent.

It had five rooms, two bathrooms, a balcony, a living room, and a kitchen.

Everything was made out from the finest wood out there.

Me and Tommy are teens now. The day we got here, no one was around. We were actually expecting some relatives to greet us hello or maybe welcome us with hugs and everything.

But there was no one.

We came up with a conclusion that they left. Bringing everything important. Maybe they knew that we were coming. But chose to abandon me and my brother.

I don't care anyways.

As long as I have my brother, or maybe any company. I'll be alright.

We practically runned the entire house. Us doing what we like and bickering nonstop.

Father's cousin stayed with us though. He did mention that he owes dad his life, since dad saved his a long time ago.

Here we are now. On a very long table devouring my food peacefully.

Or so I thought.

Damien had other plans, he threw his spoon at me but I captured it swiftly.

"How childish, you could do better you know." I grinned while I threw the spoon back at him. He swiftly caught the spoon as well.

Bitch.

"Dear sis, you do know that I'm more stronger than you right?" He defended himself.

"Shut it both of you, I want to eat in peace without any children potentially stabbing each other to death with a spoon." Uncle Deen scolded us.

I just scoffed. Ever since we told him everything that happened that day, he started training us. You should learn how to protect yourselves he says.

Shortly after dinner was done, my brother, again came up with a stupid idea to pour an entire bucket of water on me.

Here I am, drenched in water. Glaring at my brother.

"You have three seconds to run, Tommy." I warned.

He watched in horror. Fear evident from his eyes. He looked at me for a good second before sprinting away from me. He squealed like a little girl when I caught him. I was too distracted from his squeal and eventually ended to the floor clutching my stomach from too much laughter.

He took the chance to run away and hide behind uncle Deen.

"Uncle! You have to help! I have a psychopathic sister who's planning to kill me." I just stared at uncle, waiting for his reply. He just grinned at me. Then held Damien out for me. I tackled him to the ground making sure to add impact while falling.

"I win, D." I slowly got up when he patted his hand on the floor for surrender.
"No fair! Uncle helped you! I'm always the one getting bullied in this house." He said while pouting. I coudn't help but chuckle at his statement. I helped him get up ad we both dusted ourselves.

"Okay kids, now that's settled I want you to get dressed up. I'm taking you to the village."

Me and my brother quickly ran towards our room to get dressed.

What could possibly go wrong. Right?
