I looked at my bed in glee before happily falling backwards down on it with a sigh of relief.
"We did it," I breathed out as Jake let out a laugh at the sigh, making me pat the spot next to me and he fell down from the other side, so his legsdangled over the other side of the bed from mine.
"After a long hour of work," Jake nodded in agreement.
"Maybe we should have taken the legs off before just carrying it up," I nodded with a sigh.
"You could've taken the legs off?" Jake shrieked at me as I let out a sheepish laugh.
"Might've not told you that," I realized as he abruptly sat up.
"Why am I friends with you again?" he questioned as he covered his face with his hands.
"Because I'm fun to be around," I reminded, making him just sigh and nod at me.
"So what's the next plan?" Jake questioned.
"Now? Not anymore today," I shook my head as I sat up and looked around the old attic that now was my room, "but I know for sure, that I'm gonna make a window seat out of that," I spoke and pointed to the window.
"You really want that window seat," Jake let out a small laugh and I just nodded at him.
"Of course. It's my big dream," I emphasized as he just continued to let out small laughs at me.
"Noona?" Jungwon cooed out as he opened the door and I looked over at him, "mom and dad says there is dinner."
"Oh..." I realized with a small nod.
"And they've invited Jake hyung to eat with us," Jungwon said, pointing to the guest in my bedroom.
"Ah... it's alright," Jake shook his head, "mom promised to make me fried chicken today."
"Yeah... Jake isn't eating with us," I shook my head to Jungwon who just nodded and went downstairs again with Jake and I following.
"You not eating over Jake?" dad spoke as he joined us in the front hall.
"I'm afraid my mom is making fried chicken," Jake shook his head at him.
"The never ending love for fried chicken," my dad let out a chuckle.
"What can I say?" Jake shrugged with a wide grin before turning to me, "I'll see you tomorrow morning."
"It's Friday so remember we're going to go get snacks," I reminded him and he just nodded in agreement before rushing out of the door.
"That boy and his fried chicken," dad sighed in admiration, "that's something you gotta show respect for."
"It sure is," I nodded at my dad before pushing him back towards the dining room, "now... how about we actually sit down and join everyone else in eating?"
I smiled before returning to my usual seat between Sunmi and Jungwon, except that Jiyeon was sitting between Jungwon and I and Sunghoon was sitting on Sunmi's other side.
"Smells delicious mom," I spoke as I sat down, just earning a hum from her as she seemed too distracted by something else.
"How long are you with the attic?" Jiyeon turned to me.
"Oh you're gonna love it," I gushed and took some food for myself, seeing as everyone already had food on their plates, "I was actually thinking if you could help me. You have a love for window seats, right?"
"Oh you have no idea," Jiyeon replied and I happily nodded.
"I have this window, where I want to make one," I spoke and she eagerly nodded, "should there be bookshelves in it?"
"With the amount of books you have? Definitely," she nodded at me, "it'll save you so much space."
"Yeah... but what am I gonna use the space for?" I sighed as I thought about it.
"Then let me move up there, I can use the space," Sunmi spoke and I looked over at her.
"No, now I've painted and organized everything up there," I shook my head at her.
"Maybe you should let her do it Soomin," mom said, "if you don't need that much space it would be a shame to let it go to waste."
"I definitely could use the space, don't you think Hoonie?" Sunmi turned to Sunghoon who seemed shocked by the fact that he was being dragged into this.
"I think Soomin-ah has worked really hard for that room," Sunghoon excused, making me smile over at him, "I think she should keep it."
"But think about all the privacy we would get," Sunmi reminded him, making me restrain myself from rolling my eyes.
"I don't think it's that important," Sunghoon shook his head, "Soomin-ah has really been working hard on that room."
"Mom!" Sunmi loudly complained, making mom glance up at the two of us.
"Maybe you should take it into consideration, Soomin," mom said, making me widen my eyes.
"Not a chance," dad shook his head, "Soomin deserves that room."
"Thank you," I smiled over at dad who just extended his fist across the table and I immediately fistbumped him with a wide grin.
"Why can she get the chance to take everything from me?" Sunmi complained.
"What has she taken?" Jungwon questioned in amusement.
"The biggest room in the house, the chance to go to Australia," Sunmi began listing.
"You got the chance to go, but you denied it," dad pointed out to her.
"Sunghoon," Sunmi continued, making me look over at her with a frown.
"When have I-" I started.
"Oh please, as if I haven't seen the way you look at him or the way you two talk with one another," Sunmi stated.
"I can't actually believe this," I shook my head before placing it in my hand, "I don't want your boyfriend Sunmi! How bad of a sister do you think I am?"
"A terrible one," Sunmi stated, "you're always trying to look like me. You even have the long hair that I have, wearing my clothes whenever you have the chance."
"I'm not hungry," I sighed before getting up from my seat and rushing up to the attic, where I immediately laid down on my bed and looked out the window.
Many thoughts rushed through my mind as I thought about Sunmi's words. The only reason I had long hair was because I hadn't got it cut short since we were small. I don't know why, I just never got to cut it short again. I only wore her clothes whenever my sweatpants were in the laundry and hers were clean. And I surely wasn't trying to take Sunghoon from her. Sure, I liked the boy more than friends but that didn't mean I wanted to date him whilst my sister was dating said boy.
