"I want my brothers brought home from the war."

For once, I feel like I've said something right.

"And my friend, Kilorn Warren. Don't let the legions take him either."

Tiberias responds in half a heartbeat.

A few Red soldiers mean nothing to him. "Done."

I heard myself breathe a sigh of relief after he said that word though I knew indefinitely that what was set for me after this couldn't be anything good.

The King opened his mouth presumably to tell the guards to take me for my treatment to become 'Mareena Titanos' - the words sounded weird even in my head when there was this flash of light nearly blinding everyone from it's ferocity and I felt myself begin to be lifted into the air.

I assumed everyone else was rising as well based on the shrieks of Queen Elara, the roar of fury from the king and the twin yelps from the two boys (seems they might have something else in common as well) I thought confused.

The last thing I saw before I got whisked away by a blast of air completely blinding my sight were the reproachful and dumbfounded shuffling of the guards as they pulled out their swords for an unseen threat and stared up in confusion.

SLAM! I slammed into the ground somewhere, I didn't even know where and stayed there for a few seconds to regain my bearings.

Once everything came rushing back to me, I jumped up with a wince thinking of all the ways I could escape, not thinking of all the consequences and stopped dead.

Five people stood before me: The King, Queen Elara, Cal, Maven and Evangeline Samos.

The girl who could control Iron.

I gulped as I thought about the murderous glare she shot at me after I nearly shrivelled her into ash by... lightning?

Yes, lightning.

"DID YOU DO THIS, GIRL?" the words flew from the king's lips in a blaze of fury and I flinched, I noticed Evangeline did too before changing her face into a mask of indifference.

"fathe-" Cal broke in, meaning to diffuse the situation I suppose, even though I could still see some of the suspicion in his eyes and I understood why.

\ No one knew what I was, hell, even I didn't.

Before Cal could utter the words louder, Maven's hand caught his arm and held him back just like he did in the throne room.

I saw him give an imperceptible shake of his head before his clear water eyes flicked towards me as if he sensed me watching.

I quickly averted my gaze and looked back to the King and Queen who stared at me with cold eyes.

"No, I didn't do anything, your majesty."

The words sounded ugly in my mouth.

"I don't even know where we are."

With that they held my gaze then broke it deeming me unworthy to be looked at anymore apparently and I felt a burst of fury, though I controlled it and started to look at my surroundings like everyone else.

Weirdly it had the same walls, colours and floors of the palace.

It seemed like we were still there just stuck in a room even the royals didn't know about judging by their confused expressions.

Evangeline let out a frustrated sound as her attempts to open the doors with her ability didn't succeed.

Cal and Maven walked over to her and exchanged a few words.
