Brindle'fur woke up as Silver'ripple's head peaked in the warriors den. She opened her eyes slowly, seeing Silver'ripple enter the den. - How was the dawn patrol? - Brindle'fur asked her friend Silver'ripple as the cat streched happily, sitting beside Brindle'fur, who streched and sitted down to greet her friend. - Good, a lot of fat prey, no sight neither scent of intrusers, the whole territory was scenting only prey and our own scent marks. - Silver'ripple reported back, taking a bath. - Leaf'star assigned you to any patrols? - Silver'ripple asked Brindle'fur. - I will ask Broken'claw if i can hunt or if im in any patrol. Leaf'star seems way too busy now. - Brindle'fur mewed, her friend agreeing right away.
Brindle'fur got up, straching again and got out of the den, blinking a couple of times. When she finaly opened her eyes, she had the sight of her wonderful clan of big cats walking around buisily. When she finaly found Broken'claw, she walked to him to ask him. - Hello, Broken'claw. - she greeted the cat respectfuly. - Oh, hi there, Brindle'fur. How's going your morning? - Broken'claw mewed politely, Brindle'fur purring back. - Pretty good, thanks. But im not here to have a random talk with you. - She mewed back, exitement glittering in her eyes. - Am i assigned to any patrol today? - She continued curiously, facing the tom-cat with a confident expression, her tail brushing on the ground. - You dont stop, do you? - Broken'claw purred in amusement, continuing his small speach. - I was going to send the morning hunt patrol now, if you want you can join. The patrol is consisted in me, Ivy'whisper and Wood'paw. You are free to join! - her tail twitched in exitement. - I would like to, thank you, Broken'claw. -
They walked together, seeing Ivy'whisper waiting silently at the camp's entrance, watching Wood'paw play with his own paws. The cats greeted theirselves, walking out of the camp. Ivy'whisper then decided to ask Wood'paw some questions. - Wood'paw, can you scent something? - she asked to the tom-cat, the same smelling the air. - Prey, mostly. - the aprentice finaly reported. - what kind of prey? - the mentor asking again. - Rabbit... a small smell of crabs in the distance, and mice. But... theres something else... - the tom reported, all the other cats smelling the air. - i cant smell anything different. - Broken'claw disaprooved the aprentice. - no, theres something else... - Wood'paw replied. - what then? - Ivy'whisper asked. - Cats. - Wood'paw replied worriedly. - you dont need to worry, fellow. - Broken'claw mewed, licking the worried aprentice forehead.
Brindle'fur scented the air, smelling a faint hint of different cats, not rogues neither clan cats... they were different... something was defenetly up. - are you going to come or what? - Broken'claw mewed looking back, snapping Brindle'fur our of her trance, seeing that the cats were way further than her. She then quickly trotted to their side. - Yeah, sorry, just wondering. - She replied, still not fully trusting the Deputy's tracking abilities.

They eventualy split up to find more prey. Brindle'fur smelled Rabbit scent, so she just slowly followed it, finding a Rabbit a couple of fox lenghts away. She slowly creeped towards the Rabbit, but it noticed her way too quickly. - Fox dung! - she hissed running towards the Rabbit, leaping on it quickly. But when she landed on it, a cat attacked her back, its claws digging deep her mucles. She hissed in pain, pinning the cat down. - Who in StarClan are you!? And why are you in SandClan's territory?! - she hissed at the light grey tom-cat. - What are you?! - the tom hissed back at her. - A cat! What else would i be?! - She hissed, seeing a brown tabby cat fighting with a slightly bigger, clearly more skilled, black cat further away. She imediatly recognized Wood'paw's skills and pelt, loosing the fight. So she ran away to them in record speed, leaping in the air with a ginarmous speed and kicking the black cat, who fell a few tail lenghts away. Wood'paw had a few minor injuries, but she saw a bigger one on his back left paw. He was limping to walk. - can you walk to the camp with two rabbits? - she asked seeing Ivy'whisper running towards them, atracting the light grey tom. - what is happening in here?! - Ivy'whisper asked them. - well have to fight! We dont have that much of a time right now! Wood'paw? Can you? - the young tom nodded, taking the rabbit that he hunted and taking the rabbit that Brindle'fur hunted, trotting away, clearly limping. The black cat jumped on her and she just got her down with one hit. Eventualy, more and more cats started to get there, they had different fighting skills than the clan cats or the rogues. Eventualy, the clan cats started to get tired, they covered in wounds. A darker grey cat leaped on Brindle'fur, finaly nocking her down. - Got one! - the dark grey tom mewed, prepared to give the final bite on her, but she turned her back to him and leaped up with all her strenght, spinning on the air, making him fall agressively on the ground, letting a shriek of pain out. - you broke your ribs, Mouse-brained! - Brindle'fur hissed in victory to the darker cat, a tortoise shell cat jumping straight on her back. - where on StarClan's sake are you coming from??? - Ivy'whisper asked still fighting, but being able to get away.
Brindle'fur was able to escape too, both the cats running for their lifes, leaping on a tree with one swift jump, catching their breaths, while the outsiders tried to look for them. Eventualy, the outsiders gave up, giving a chance to them to run back to the camp.
The two she-cats ran for their lifes, stumbling on their own paws, eventualy finding Broken'claw, who without understanding anything, ran along with them.
They slipped through the camp entrance, finding Leaf'star and Golden'whisker taking care of Wood'paw. - Wood'paw was right! - Ivy'whisper mewed desperately, both the she-cats stumbling to their side in tiredness.
