A young Gage sat in a library, reading a book alongside two other children their age. They flipped through pages and scanned through words, and have been doing that for the past twelve hours.

"Wow, did you know a flock of owls is called a parliament?" A boy asked.

"Of course Clarice would know that." Gage said.

"It's true." Clarice smiled.

"Well did you know that, Gage?"

"Precisely, Harold." Gage flipped the page of their book.

Harold rolled his eyes and continued reading about animal facts. They all looked up from their books when the lights of the building suddenly shut down, leaving them in darkness.

"... What happened?" Clarice asked, trying to look around the library with the help of the moon's dim light.

The three stood up and peered around more thoroughly, not seeing or hearing anybody else around them. Gage went to the doors of the place and tried to pull them open with no success. They then tried to push the doors open with no luck.

"Well, that's peculiar!" They stated. "We appear to be locked in."

"Locked in?" The other two exclaimed. "What do we do now?" Clarice questioned.

"I have an idea." Harold cleared his throat. "I declare that we pull an all-nighter!"

"That's a terrible idea. My sleep schedule is immaculate! I don't want to ruin it!" Gage complained.

"Think about it. We're in a library, with no supervision, on a weekend, with no way out. What else do we do? Sleep?"

"Precisely."

"Shut up. Come on, this'll be so much fun! We can read all night with nobody telling us to go to bed! And there's so many cool things that we usually can't do because other people like to hog everything."

"He's right. I don't remember the last time I got to sit on the beanbags. I miss those times." Clarice said.

"... All right." Gage blurted, exciting the other two as they all headed to some bookshelves.
