A few weeks later, Alfred was sitting on the veranda and enjoying the morning air as he tied his shoes for work. He suddenly got hit in the face by something.
"Sorry!" The local paperboy yelled out, cycling to the next house.
Alfred chuckled quietly to himself and finished tying his shoes, picking up the newspaper and entering the house. He skimmed through the pages until he came across an intriguing title. 'Librarian of local library gets arrested.' He read the article below and hummed.
"Hey, Gage." Alfred approached his child.
"Yes?"
"You know how you almost got arrested a few weeks ago?"
"Precisely."
"The librarian got arrested for bad supervision and not doing her job properly."
"Goodness." Martha sighed.
"Oh my." Gage took a bite of their breakfast. "At least it wasn't me, Clarice, and Harold I suppose." They shrugged.
"Yeah. I wonder who the new librarian will be..." Alfred wondered out loud, stroking his chin curiously.
