There you were, inside an old, wooden cage in an Eremite camp. You leaned against the weathered bars of your cage, wondering how you got here. No. You know how you got here. You were too stubborn and reckless enough to tell off one of the Eremites, not wanting to give them your possessions. You were questioning what the hell made you think it was a good idea to carelessly do that. Not to even mention you initially tried to run away after telling them off, but miserably failed and hurt your shin in the process.

Now you're here, trapped. It's been about an hour already, and none of your captors have even batted an eye at you. You sighed and peered at your belongings, which were a few yards away at where a majority of the Eremites were relaxing.

You kicked a small pebble on the dirt floor of your cage. "When are you guys letting me go?" you ask them, impatient and annoyed at both them and yourself.

One of the Eremites, replied in a condescending tone.
"Oh ho ho, looks like the little princess wants out," he and his comrades snicker. "Listen, girl, all we want is a ransom and then we can let you go."

You huff and aggressively shake the wooden bars of your cell. "I'm not going to wait around for someone to give ransom money. Let me out!" you raise your voice in protest, making the Eremites visibly annoyed.

One of them approaches and unsheathes his machete, you stumble back away from the cell door.

He crouches down outside the door so he's leveled with you, his eyebrows furrowed. "Listen kid, I suggest you keep your mouth shut. You're lucky we haven't just sold you off or somethin," he says in a gruff voice.

All you do is give him a displeased glare as he walks away to sit back with his buddies around the campfire.

30 minutes past, and an hour...
You've attempted to think of ways to escape, but none came to mind. You drew in the damp dirt with a small stick you found. Now you were getting hungry, cold, and beyond bored.

At this point, all the Eremites had fallen into a deep slumber for the night. Only the light crackling of the dying campfire resonated throughout the camp.

Suddenly in the distance you hear footsteps. You look around, peeking through the bars of your cage to see where it came from. You begin to see a man approach, he seemed to make no effort in being stealthy as he marched in with a golden and hazel spear. The moonlight fell upon the stranger, casting a gentle glow on their white hair. The scene could remind one of a wolf strolling through a barren, tundra wasteland.

A few of the Eremites had awoken from the intruder's footsteps, their attention being drawn to the man as he stepped closer.

The man raises his spear and hits it upon the ground with authority.
"Let the girl go at once, Eremites," he demanded. His scarlet eyes pierced the Eremites' souls. Some were frozen in intimidation and fear, and others seemed slightly in awe or annoyed.

The one who had threatened you earlier stepped up to the man, his machete unsheathed once again.

"You don't scare us, matra," he says, his tone dripping with arrogance.

One of the other Eremites tried to cut in. "B-Boss, maybe we should-"

"Shut it," the boss snapped back, causing the other to go quiet.

"You have one more chance," said the stranger, who was growing impatient.

A few more Eremites gathered around the boss, their weapons at the ready. A tinge of anticipation surged through you as you watched the show, but you also felt embarrassed. You've basically become a damsel in distress about to be saved by a knight in..well, no armor really-- but you get the gist of it. It's like those little romantic fairy tales you used to read as a young girl.
