Violet laid on a bed, her usual rosy skin was pale and her body was covered in bruises and her head was wrapped and her arm had a dark bruise that matched the one on her back from where she hit the ground . Jessica had found a chair in the medical cabin and had put herself between the younger Bella and the door as Violet had asked her to keep anyone but Stacy and Emily out. They had all come to visit around lunch but Violet was sleeping, now the girl was awake with a headphone in her ear and the other in Jessica's as they watched videos the others had sent through out the day. A small laugh escaped her as she watched them struggle with some of their tasks. "You could have joined them you know." Violet spoke as she looked to the window and pulled the headphone out. Jessica smiled and rolled the headphones around the phone. "I know you and Ashley are inseparable as well as with the others and that includes Emily now.." Her fingers tightened around her blanket they had brought to her from the tent. "I'm just the one no one really notices." She felt Jessica grab and squeeze her hand. "I know a thing or two about feeling like you are invisible. You have people that love you so much Vi. Chloe may not be the best big sister but she tries, Kota and Darry will get away with murder for you and Elijah will help by being their lawyer, Stacy looks at you like her sister and Emily, she has been by your side since day one of her joining that girl considers you her best friend." The older girl shifted in her chair to look out the window to faintly see the Bellas. "You have a whole army behind you that loves you, even if it's not the way you would like." She looked back tilting her head for Violet to look at her. Blue eyes met brown and violet smiled. "Thank you Jessica I appreciate your kindness." The door to the building opened drawing their attention from the conversation at hand. Emily peaked her head in and smiled opening the door and walked over. "You are awake and okay?" She asked softly and Violet nodded. "Yeah Em I'm fine just hurts a bit but Mrs Jen is gone to the pharmacy about an hour away to pick up a prescription for me for the pain and scheduled an appointment Monday with the doctor off campus for a checkup and maybe an X-ray of I'm still in pain." Violet spoke with a smile as others trailed in behind Emily. "Becs are you sure you don't want to get checked over at least?" Chloe asked her co-captain who shook her head. "Chlo really I'm fine Amy and Ashley broke my fall I'd be more worried about them." She looked to the two who were now in a conversation with Violet as well. "Don't worry about it Shawshank you weigh almost nothing." Amy spoke turning to look at her friend. "Hey we are about to take showers and change and have a fire with marshmallows. Are you coming?" Chloe walked sadly to her sister who smiled up at her. "What happened with Beca?" Violet asked. "Same thing didn't read the signs as she stormed off." Stacy rolled her eyes. Everyone laughed and moved from the bed as Emily and Jessica helped violet to her feet. "Are you too sore to walk?" Aubrey asked her hands resting on a wheelchair. "It hurts but not as bad as it would without this pain medicine I'm on currently." She held on to Emily with her uninjured arm as they slowly made their way to the tent for clothes than the showers. Upon entering the showers they were shocked there were items set out with towels and shower shoes for each of them with their names in the sets and specific travel sized bottles of product they used and next to that was a sauna and a door that lead into a bath house . "I hope you don't mind if I come out here often next year Aubrey." Violet spoke sitting in the bench. "On weekends we are closed like holiday weekends we have employee parties you are more than welcome to join us." The woman spoke and Violet and Emily smiled. "Shower time." Violet clapped her hands making a few of the girls jump before they started to strip down everyone to tired to even care about others being around. Violet pulled off her shirt revealing the huge bruises on her pale back. "They are really bad vi." Beca spoke placing her hand on Violets shoulder above the bruises. "It's okay. Really everything is fine." She pulled away, Becas fingers gracefully sliding over the pinkish skin before it fell to her side. Violet quickly put the robe and shower shoes on and with help from flo got in the shower. She leaned on the wall for support, the pain medicine now wearing off causing her to feel every injury. Tears filled her eyes as she tried to choke down her cries as she struggled. The curtains slid open and Violet slowly leaned up and looked up at who had entered her shower. Beca, still dressed in her clothes stood with the basket of stuff for Violets shower. "Hey no tears now." Beca said softly. "Come here." Beca gently pulled the girl to her holding Violet under the shower head, her once for the most part dry clothes now soaked. "Your clothes.." Violet cried clinging to the fabric weakly. "It's fine I have a change of clothes remember. Let's get your hair washed." Beca gently tilted violets head back so the red locks could be rinsed. Violet flinched slightly as the movement before relaxing again as Beca moved her so she was out of the water. Lifting the small shampoo beca opened it immediately smelling coconut and vanilla. She poured the shampoo into her hand and rubbed her hands together before moving them to Violet's hair. She massaged the shampoo into the girls hair gently as the others chatted outside. "Why are you helping me?" Violet asked quietly and beca stopped for a second. "Because you needed it and I wanted to help." Beca responded as she finished moving Vi back to the water rinsing the girls hair. "Why though I often need help but you never offer to help me..." Beca froze unable to fully answer that. Violet sighed and stepped back. "I don't want pity!" Violet hissed and Beca stepped back. "It's not p..." "don't even lie since the night I kissed you it's been back and forth like this. Not to mention you lied to my face the next morning when I asked if we did anything and you said we didn't. Way to go being honest huh." Beca stood frozen. "I thought you didn't and wouldn't remember.... I..." "just stop. We were both drunk but sober enough we knew damn well what we were doing in that bed!" "Vi?" Chloe called and violet turned and grabbed a towel as she stepped out of the water as the curtains opened all the way Stacie and Chloe both in protective mode. "I'm fine!" Violet growled looking to them quickly before back at beca the pain on her injuries now covered by the rage building in her. "You are unbelievable. Jesse was right. You shut everyone out. He said I wouldn't be able to do but I bet him I could get you!" She said out of frustration and paused. "What?" Beca asked and violet rubbed her face. "Fuck.." she mumbled. "You made a bet you could get with me? What the fuck Violet!" She yelled and Violet winced. "I made a bet with him that I could win you over before the worlds. He didn't think I could and if I didn't I had to work with him every summer and even after I graduate I would start there." She rubbed her arm and looked to her sister who looked extremely disappointed. "I ended the bet and told him I would work with him because it didn't feel right." "How long?" "What?" Violet looked back at beca. "How long have you had this bet?" She spoke her eyes trained on the small red head. "Since my orientation... right after we met Em...." "Jesus Christ violet." Chloe finally spoke and walked away. Beca didn't say anything else. "One, why would you make a bet like that to begin with?" Stacie spoke. "And two why would you stake your whole future on that Violet?" Beca continued and violet didn't respond. "I....fuck!" Beca turned from violet. "Look my feelings for you what ever they are shouldn't be something you bet on especially if you truly had feelings for me." She looked back at violet before leaving the shower. "What the hell vi.." Stacie spoke having had no idea her friend even made the bet. Violet leaned in the wall and slid to the bench behind her. "Fuck my life..."
