(POV:Merid)

-"Some say our destiny is tied to the land as much a part of us as we are of it. Others say fate is woven together like a cloth, so that one's destiny intertwines with many others. It's the one thing we search for, or fight to change. Some never find it. But there are some who are led." I mumbled, then looked down at Y/n who was leaning her head on my shoulder, looking out at the field and mountains in front of us.

-"Is that all you learned from the legend Elinor taught us today?" she asked, waiting for a reply.

-"Yes!...No...I don't know..." I stammered out as she giggled.

-"You know I don't like my mum's lessons, they're so boring" I sighed out while pouting slightly.

-"Yes Merid, we all know the only legend you know and love,"

-"Of course, the story of how my father lost his leg to the demon bear Mor'du is a great legend" I replied proudly, but noticed Y/n expression saddened and looked upset. But as quickly as she changed moods she composed herself.

-"You know what I think should be a legend, your brothers!" she smiled.

-"Wee devils more like. They can get away with anything even murder!" I exclaimed while laying down onto the grass.

-"I can never get away from anything"

-"We should start heading back" she mumbled, standing up, flattened her dress and held her hand to me.

I took her hand, it was soft and warm. My thoughts were interrupted as I felt a light tug. She attempted to pull me up but failed miserably. I let go of her hand and stood up myself, dusting off my clothes. As we arrived at the castle doors, she turned to me and moved the hair from my face and wiped the dirt mark with her sleeve. Smiling at me which made my cheeks redden slightly, we both turned forward opening the doors and walked through.
