Before I begin, I have a bit of an author's note. Yes, I usually do this afterwards, but I'd like to go ahead and say two things. One, this is the finale of Life Happens (as you can by the title). Two, this chapter is dedicated to Allylovespancakes57, because she's awesome, and going through hard times. Girlie, just hang in there, and I'm here to pm if you ever need me. Anyways, let's look at this finale! Don't forget to comment and vote when you finish.
Thank you and Lacey!
(Saylor's POV)
Jodi was getting worse by the minute. She was sweating so much that her bangs clung to her forehead. Her breathing was heavy, and she was burning up. But she was shivering, she was so cold. She coughed for a minute. "You okay?" I asked.
"No," she replied. "I feel really sick Saylor."
"I know," I said soothingly. "I'll see if Corki will get you a cloth when she comes in, okay?"
"Okay," Jodi replied.
Sun Hi suddenly walked in. "Hey," she said. "Wow, Jodes, you're a really great actress."
"She's not acting," I replied. "She's really sick."
Sun Hi felt her forehead. "Whoa!" she almost yelled. "I'm gonna get a thermometer and a cold washcloth, she's really sick."
I nodded, and she ran out if the room. She came back with a cold wash cloth, a thermometer, and a bowl of soup. "Let me check her temp," she said, placing the thermometer in her mouth.
She took it out and looked worried. "I don't understand how she could be this sick and us not notice anything," Sun Hi said.
"What is it?" I asked, worried.
"104," Sun Hi replied. "We need to get her to the hospital."
"We can't," I replied. "We're tied to the bed. With chains and a lock."
"I know," Sun Hi replied, placing the cloth on Jodi's forehead. "I'm gonna find a way though, I promise."
I nodded. Jodi stirred at the sudden presence of the cold cloth, but soon adjusted. I shook her gently. "You gotta eat something," I said softly.
Jodi's eyes fluttered open. "Hey," Sun Hi said, taking a spoon to scoop up a little bit of soup. "Please Jodi."
Jodi reluctantly took the bite. Sun Hj fed her about half of the bowl before she said, "Sun Hi, no more. Please."
Sun Hi nodded and covered the bowl, putting it under her bed so Aria wouldn't find it. Jodi's burning body suddenly started trembling. I hugged her. "Shh, calm down Jodes," I said. "It's okay. What's wrong?"
