Ketzia grabbed Mei and dragged her to the girls locker room. Ketzia went to say something but Mei immediately put her hand up.
" No. " she said, her voice low.
She dressed in her gym shorts and white T-shirt. She waited until Ketzia finished and they walked out together.

When they walked out she won over some glances from guys, all except Alex's glance.

Mei walked over to the race track and looked at the distance from the starting point to the finish line.

" You run? " Ketzia asked, looking oddly intrigued.

" My mom used to teach me how to run when I was first crea- " Mei caught herself and cleared her throat. " When I was first learning how to walk. "

" We're you about to say created? " Ketzia asked.

" I was thinking about how they created these tracks and my mind must've slipped into my words. " she shrugged and walked over to the beginning.

" Oh. Well, they create th- "

" Count down from 3. " Mei said, cutting Ketzia off.

" Sure. " she said cheerfully. " This will be my first time seeing how fast you can run. I'll actually go get a stop watch from the gym. "

" Sure. " Mei said and patiently waited.

" Okay! One, two...three! " she said and watched Mei take off.

After gym Mei and Ketzia went in to change into their normal school clothes.

" Let me see you schedule. " Ketzia said, walking over to her notebooks.

" I would say sure but it seems as though you weren't asking a question. " Mei chuckled.

" Woah, you've really got advanced calculus? " Ketzia sighed.

" And that's sad because? Calculus isn't exactly easy as pie. " Mei said, tying her hair in a high pony tail.

" True. Is it hard for you though? " she asked.

" Ha, no way. That shit's easy. " Mei straightly answered.

Ketzia and Mei finished and walked off to their next class.

" Here's your schedule. " Ketzia said, handing Mei the paper. " Atleast we have the same lunch. "

" Cool. Here's my class, I'll see you later. " Mei waved and headed in.

" Miss Flower! " The teacher called. " Nice to finally meet you! Come and introduce yourself. "

" Oh, sure. " Mei shrugged. " Hello, I'm Mei Flower and starting today, I'll be attending Blossom High. "

" Perfect. Also, starting today you'll be sitting next to Alex Clear. " she pointed to the back corner to the right.

" Are you sure you really trust two hormonal teens of the opposite gender to sit in the back where we're barely viable together? " Mei asked, turning to the teacher.

" You have students next to you so I'm sure they'll make a face if something weird is going on. " she shrugged.

" Alrighty. " Mei answered, walking over to her new seat.

Class began and Mei grabbed a pencil from her notebook, but felt someone watching her.

" Can I help you? " Mei asked, knowing it was Alex.

" I need a pencil. " Alex quickly responded.

Mei turned her head to Alex and looked at his desk.

" There's a pencil right there. " Mei said, pointing to the one next to his notebook.

    " I didn't see that. " Alex said, laughing.

Mei shrugged and turned her attention to the front.

The entire class period Mei felt Alex occasionally glance over and she ignored him, trying not to slap him and tell him to fuck off.

Class ended and Mei gladly gathered her items together.  She walked out and headed for the cafeteria when she heard someone run up to her.

" Ketzia, finally. " Mei said and turned thinking it was Ketzia.  It was Alex.

" Sorry. " he said and scratched the back of his head awkwardly.

" What? " Mei asked, turning away and continued to walk.

" You're heading to lunch. I am too, I was hoping we could sit together. " he asked innocently.

" Listen, " Mei said, stopping dead in her tracks and turning towards Alex. " I'm not exactly sure what you want with me, but just incase, I wouldn't want to be your girlfriend.  So, until I no longer find you irrelevant, fuck off. " Mei snapped and turned to walk away.

" Wow, you are a bitch. " Alex said.  " Y'know, a lot of guys just want you for your looks, but me?  I actually wanted to get to know you.  I don't know how Ketzia can stand your attitude. "

Mei stopped and turned to face Alex.

" Am I supposed to cry now? " Mei asked and turned to walk away to the cafeteria, ignoring the stares of other people.

As Mei walked away she felt her " heart " begin to pound.  This was odd since her " heart " was actually a few electric wires with, yes, some actual human heart.

Mei never bothered to ask where her mom got it from.

Mei quickly set the feeling aside and continued her walk.

•• It took a little long to finish since my birthday was today so a few things were going on, but I finished. ••
