❞𝑰𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖...? ❞
Jo Hyemi - a senior and an avid fan of mystery and thriller novels, found herself crammed up in the small bus seat that she had to reluctantly share with the class president going on a trip with the rest of the idiots she called her classmates. She would have gladly skipped the journey but unfortunately, was coerced into tagging along by her friends as it was their last trip.
It had barely been an hour since the journey had begun and all Hyemi wanted to do was read her new thriller novel in peace. However, the constant yells and screams from her classmates from the back of the bus kept on buzzing in her ears continuously like a bothersome persistent itch. No matter what she did to drown out the noises, she failed to do so.
That wasn't the only thing irking her. Kim Junhee, the class president whom she was sharing the seat with, had opted to keep the curtain of the window open while sleeping which led to the sun glaring at her. The whole scenario had begun to overwhelm her, making her easily react and snap at little things that were ticking her off. It took a great deal of effort to restrain herself from either throwing everyone off the bus or herself, whichever would let her out of her misery easily.
Her head throbbing from pain at the same time was like a cherry on top of everything that was happening. Never in the 19 years of her life had Hyemi regretted a decision this quickly. Nevertheless, not wanting to further expend her energy on dealing with the others, Hyemi got up from her seat to get her bag from the luggage rack above her seat.
