Personality

Roxy is outgoing, energetic, smart, and unique. That's the good news. The bad news is that she can also be self-centered, attention-starved, restless, and excessively eccentric.

Overall, Roxy is kind and giving by nature and has the capacity to venture far beyond her peers to reach places that others would find impossible. This is the greatest strength of Roxy. Her adventurous nature refuses to see limitations. She is always moving toward the next great idea and she almost always takes the road less traveled to get there. Her seemingly endless energy can be infectious, and when she takes on a challenge, she is as passionate as ever... for a while. While she truly cares about the challenges she takes up (and she does so often), Roxy is quick to give up on something if she doesn't see the end result fast enough for her liking. That's not to say that she doesn't care, she just loses focus on one project and would prefer to spend her exceptional capabilities on something else for the moment.

Unicorn Species:

The unicorn itself has been known for a variety of special powers and abilities since the dawn of civilization. This magnificent creature has inspired and influenced a global audience. Many different cultures throughout history have proclaimed that the unicorn is a creature of legendary speed, grace, and strength.

The creature is known to ward off evil in all of its forms, appearing to those who are good and pure of heart in times of need and danger.

Unicorn Horns

Perhaps more legendary than the unicorn itself is the horn on its head. The horn of the unicorn is one of the most interesting and powerful objects in mythology with many wide and varied powers associated with it.

During the middle ages, the unicorn horn was traded widely by merchants touting the amazing powers it held. These merchants were supported by the church and the Bible in their claims. Many different forms of fake unicorn horns, including the horns of rhinos and narwhals, were sold by these merchants who would become very wealthy.

The horn of the unicorn was highly regarded as a powerful tool throughout the middle ages and on, even as late as the 1600s. The most defining feature of the horn was its legendary purity. The unicorn horn had a unique and powerful ability to cleanse and purify almost anything. Unicorn horns would be affixed to fountains to purify the water of disease and contaminants. Kings would test their drinks with the horns of unicorns to ensure they contained no poison. Royalty would ward off all disease, even the plague, by consuming the horn in powdered form.

The belief in the power of the unicorn horn was widespread and ingrained into European society. During times of the Inquisition, those who doubted the purifying powers of the unicorn horn were believed to be disbelieving of God himself and were punished by the church.

Special traits

The Unicorn is a highly intelligent creature, as one would expect from a creature of the Gods. Whilst one has never been caught and studied intensively, it is known that the eldest and wisest of the creatures are telepathic, and able to broadcast their thoughts and feelings to whomever they wish. Younger animals have a certain degree of empathy, being able to sense the emotions of people around them, and also able to communicate theirs.

However, despite these abilities, what the Unicorn is truly known for is the amazing power of its horn. Supposed to be able to cure any illness instantly if taken into the body, many of the great beasts have died for the simple greed. For, once the horn is taken, the beast will die almost immediately, robbed of its very identity by the hideous crime that has been committed to it. There are noted exceptions to this, however. If a Unicorn judges a person in need to be worthy of its remarkable healing power, it will offer the tip of its horn to the sufferer. To have this happen is indeed a great honor. In this case, the beast will not die.

Powers and Abilities:

Unicorn Physiology:

- Shapeshifting:

Roxy has the ability to transform into a Unicorn, a white horse-like animal with a large, pointed, spiraling horn projecting from her forehead.

Healing Tears:

When a unicorn is sufficiently upset, when they truly feel grief or pain their tears can absorb some of the healing magic from their horns and the tears they produce can heal another.

Regenerative Healing Factor:

Roxy can rapidly regenerate. In other words, she can recreate lost or damaged tissues, organs and limbs, sometimes slowing, or even stopping aging.

Good Embodiment:

Being part unicorn, Roxy is the living embodiment of complete goodness. Though there are no specific powers that come from this ability, when she performs purification spells, exorcisms, or protection spells they tend to be a lot stronger, and a lot more successful than those performed by her brothers.

It also means that angels feel particularly protective of her, as they are with all with unicorn blood.

- Luck Aura

As part of her good embodiment, Roxy has an aura that bestows luck on those closest to her or on the place she lives.

Empathy

Roxy can sense the feelings of others and alter them according to her will. With it, Roxy can resolve a tense situation peacefully or make people coexist more easily. It can also be used to enlighten someone's mood. She can also manipulate the level of intensity people feel emotions, such as calming someone so much that they fall asleep.

Unicorn song:

Roxy also possesses remarkable and soul-touching singing talents. A single note of her song is said to have effects similar to swallowing a drop of warming liquid, and instilling courage and calm. Unicorn song is reputed to increase the courage of the pure of heart and strike fear into the heart of the impure.

Unicorn blood:

Unicorn blood is a thick, silvery magical substance that runs within a unicorn's veins, even the blood of halflings are silver, proving how strong the blood in their veins is.

The blood of a unicorn can be drunk in order to keep a person alive. However, the act of slaying a unicorn will cause the drinker to suffer a cursed life, though the specifics of what this actually entails are not known well.

Notes:

Also thinking that maybe she has some form of magical eye, so she wears an eye patch. Maybe this eye gives her the ability to see into someone's soul to see if they're morally good or something, ideas welcome and stuff.
