For 3 days I've waited patiently in my room. Mr. Quartez kept his word by making sure I wasn't allowed to leave. Luckily a bathroom was attached to it so the only thing I had to wait for was food. I was fed three meals a day. Breakfast at 8:00 am sharp, lunch 3:00pm, and dinner was quite late at 10:00pm. Mary would come and go throughout the days. Always checking up on me... It has been a prison with cotton candy walls. I hate it...

Folding my arms and glaring at the door I waited for the man who trapped me here to finally arrive. He has been avoiding me long enough... Ha... I wouldn't have to wait if I could control my...powers... Can I even call it a power? It's more of a curse than anything... Sighing I leaned into my chair while tapping my foot on the floor. That's when I heard it... A faint shuffle at the door. I stopped moving to see if I could hear it again. A man cleared his voice after a moment before knocking.

"Come in." I called before resuming my tapping.

The door opened to reveal a well dressed Mr. Quartez in a suit though his broad body swallowed the door frame behind him. Was he always so big? He slowly put his hands behind his back before striding over to me.

"I know you must be-"

I couldn't help but interrupt him. "-quite upset after being locked away for 3 days? Yes, I am." I glared at as he let out a sigh. I immediately held up my hand as he tried to speak. "All I want is for you to answer a simple question. May I go outside now?"

"Well that's-"

I cut him off once again. "Yes or no? It's a simple question." Standing I crossed my arms and glared up at him.

He looked at me for a moment before folding his arms. "No." He said deadpan.

I didn't move for a few moments. "Why not?"

"That attitude is quite atrocious, sweetheart. If you would listen to me you'd understand why-"

"Ha. Haha..." I couldn't help but chuckle as I felt my sanity slip. "Mr. Quartez, I am not some pet meant to be kept inside all day. Whatever the reason you have for keeping me here... It ends now. I want out...and I will get out." I snapped before walking around him. He grabbed my arm, quickly pulling me to a stop.

"Ami, the detective wants to speak with you. He has been asking for you. His desperations is causing him to-"

Yanking free I clicked my tongue. "I. Don't. Care. I won't be chained into another hell Mr. Quartez." I won't be chained down again... Never again.

"...You really are being unreasonable... Fine... Go. Be free... I tried to warn you." I felt relieved that my stubbornness had won me a chance to finally be free. "Just stay with Mary the entire time. That's my only condition." My joy was short-lived at this. Mary...? Oh no...

"Oh my goodness! Ami, look!!! This dress would look absolutely stunning-" Mary squealed excitedly as we walked through the department store's with bags. I only found one thing that I actually wanted from all of these stores. It was a necklace that was made of silver and it had a crystal that draped down from the main bit from a thin wire like design.

"Mary aren't we done yet? This is quite a lot of clothes... I don't need this many..." I've never been one for shopping... Especially for clothes. Jewelry is what I crave yet nothing seems to catch my eye that often.

"You can never have enough clothes! Especially with the work I do. Blood doesn't come off easily, you know..." She laughed a bit before pulling my arm towards the most expensive store yet. The sign was a foreign name yet written so elegantly that it was mesmerizing to gaze at. "This will be the last one and you will easily find something you like!"
