Denial (Satosugu)

Typical mission day

After their combat session with each other during the day, everyone decided to take a break; sitting with their legs folded on the grass while Satoru laid face flat on the grass.
"Satoru you're eating grass now huh? What are you a cow"
"Shut up Shoko, im exhausteddd"
"The combat session didn't even last 10mns..." shoko voice trailed off at the end since she doesn't really want to pick a fight with Gojo and would rather stating fact quietly.
"Satoru your stamina really is bad you know, run more often" Geto suggested while using his hands as a support to his body from the back and raised his chin high up, enjoying the sun and the blue sky.
"Hmph" Gojo was always annoyed at any weak points of his that his friends pointed out because he has always lived with the fact that he's perfect in everything.
Starting off the day strong, Yaga appointed them to a combat session to strengthen their combat skill for their upcoming mission as they just got promoted and will be taking grade 2-3 mission together. This was indeed fast considering they were only in their 2nd year of High School but their laments were unexceptional and everyone could see that. Shoko's curse technique might not be compatible in combat mission but she's one of the most valuable source since she was the only one who can do RCT. So often time, Gojo and Geto were the only one to go on mission.

After completing today's mission, gojo and Geto decided to go on a walk at the nearby market in Hokkaido . While walking around, Gojo spotted a buttered potato stand and headed straight to the stand without telling Geto.
"Hmm??" Geto caught abit off guard but followed Gojo anyway to wherever he walked to.
"Suguru, butter potato."
"What about it?"
"Do you know how delicious they are?!?!?! They are a delicacy. The soft-boiled hot potato with a delicious and chef-kiss smell achieved by the butter that's melted inside. YUM" Gojo cried out with dramatic expression on his face, acting out along with his words.
Geto just stood flabbergasted at whatever Gojo's blabbering about at a mere buttered potato, this was the first time he learnt that Gojo was obsessed with this food other than sweets.
Gojo continued, "In all of Japan there are two people who loved butter potato more than everyone else that I know. And too bad, I only came in second place." Gojo clutched his chest as if his heart was receiving a physical pain, indicating a heartbreak
"Can't believe the Gojo Satoru came in second place, who's the first rank then?" Geto grinned softly.
"Chiharu Matsuyama"
"Who the hell even is that, and you sure you're not making that up just now??"
"That's not important right now, let's get some buttered potato. Good evening miss, one- two buttered potato please!"
"Hah?? I didn't even say I want it"
"You have to. Suguru. Thank me for introducing you to this delicacy you ungrateful bastard"

After indulging themselves in the buttered potato, Geto let out a sighed and nodded his head
"This is actually good"
"Told you"
"Should we head back?"
"Mochi might tastes good right now..what do you think?"
"At least get some water first dumbass!"
And of course, Geto was never wrong. Gojo suddenly started pounding his chest and his face slowly turned blue, making Geto panicked and sprinted at a speed of light to get water at the nearby mart.

"THAT POTATO ALMOST KILLED ME"
"It's cause your dumbass can't even swallow and eat right, Tch"

After they were done with getting mochi after, they went to buy some souvenirs and other things for Shoko as well as Haibara and Nanami (Gojo's precious kouhai) then went back to their school after.

A/N: A pretty short one sorry! But if you get the reference, the butter potato moment was inspired by the second novel "Summer of Ashes, Autumn of Dust" where Nanami and Gojo went on a mission together.
