Strange School

2. The sudden change

I was alone sitting in my classroom as all the students were playing outside. Then a girl came to me and told me, "You will regret being admitted to this school ". I was going to ask why but she disappeared.

I thought that I was hallucinating and just ignored that, and truth be told, that school was really weird. All day students of my class were staring at me as if they were going to eat me. No one even bothered to talk to me.

When I went to the washroom, one of the washroom doors was closed from inside.
It's so quiet there, so I bend down to see the feet of the person who is inside, but no feet can be seen, and the voice of the water is still coming from inside. Suddenly, the door opened, and a black shadow speedily came to me, " Ahhhhhh!" I shouted and fell unconsciously.

When I opened my eyes, I was sitting in my classroom, and the maths teacher was staring at me angrily and told me "Don't sleep again in my class". I was still unable to understand what was going on.
I thought that it was a dream.

Then my maths teacher called the name Daniel and praised him for getting the first position in the maths olympiad. The boy that I knew said thanks to the teacher, and then I got to know that his name was Daniel. A boy who is sitting with him asks him, " Why are you always on the top, Daniel?".
"Everyone can't be amazing like me . I am the unique one ". He replied.

I was staring at them, listening to their conversation, and the boy who was sitting behind Daniel noticed me. He was also a handsome boy but couldn't be compared to Daniel. He introduced himself " Hi newbie. Myself James".

"I am Ellerie. Nice to meet you " I replied
" Do you like to become my friend?" He asked. I don't have friends in this new school so I am going to accept his proposal but before I could do that, suddenly a girl came.

She was beautiful; her light brown hair was all around her neck, and she had fair skin.

" She is a new girl, James. At least leave her alone, and why do you think that everyone will be interested in you.?She will be my friend so stay away from her"
She said it to James. She introduced herself as Ava.

James replied, " No one is talking to you here, Ms drama Queen. None of your business, so stay out of it ". I was listening to their conversation and concluded that they didn't get along well.

After finishing their fight, James told Daniel, " Aren't you going to introduce yourself, Dan ".
" Is it really important I think she knows my name. Anyway, I don't have time for all these things," Daniel replied.

At first, I thought that this person was handsome, but after listening to him, my opinion changed, and I believed that he was selfish and rude. James understood my reaction and told me, "he is like this; only don't take his words to heart".
" No, no, it's ok ", I replied.

Then Ava took me on a school tour as it was our free time. She took me to the school library. It was a large one with books all over the surroundings and the smell of books had made it more enhancing. Suddenly I heard a sound as if it was calling me.
