"thank you for doing this." kiara thanks matt again once his car pulls up in front of her house. she decided to go to his house and wait for her dad to arrive so she could walk in with matt. when she sees her dad's diesel truck in her parking lot, she recognizes that he's already here.
"for being your boyfriend for the day?" matt clarifies, getting out of the car and shutting his door. he makes his way around the car and opens the passenger door, watching kiara's face light up as she unplugs her phone from aux. "my pleasure," he adds.
kiara grins, getting out of the car and allowing him to shut the door. she hears the car doors lock and that's her cue to start walking over to her house. matt steps beside her, interlocking their fingers -which makes kiara's stomach do flips- and walking down the path to her porch.
they stop in front of the door, looking at each other before looking at the door again. kiara squeezes matt's hand as a sign that she's scared shitless. "i can hear your heart racing, you know." matt affirms, looking at her again.
