have fun!

Harry never thought he would say this once in his life, but he was glad to leave his family at the table.

It's not only one table, but a few big ones covered with a thin white blanket. Around the table are almost 50 people seated- family and friends.

That's because it's Christmas eve and Louis' birthday and their tradition is inviting all family members over to Harry's and Louis' house for dinner. But this year, they really invited everyone- literally everyone. Not only their children Freddie and his wife Nellie and son Jasper, Darcy and her girlfriend Tara and Anne together with her husband Matthew appeared, also their siblings. Gemma and her husband Michal arrived at first, followed by Lottie with her husband Lewis and daughter Lucky, who brought her boyfriend Martin and their two daughters Hillary and Fenia. After that, Phoebe and Jack and their son Charlie and daughter Emilia rang the bell together with Ernest and his girlfriend and his twin sister Doris. Daisy and Tom came as the last one.

But before this, Niall and Amelia and his brother Greg and his wife appeared at the door, together with Liam and Bear, his sisters Nicola and Ruth with their husbands. Zayn an Khai and her boyfriend Ian arrived just minutes later. And to add this all up, some of the husbands and wives brought their parents or siblings, so there are a bunch of people in this house.

Harry and Louis are glad that they have such a big house with huge rooms, they're almost like halls. The ceilings are high, and the walls are painted in a crème-white-color and everything just vibes. Next to the room where they all ate dinner and dessert is the living room, including the Christmas tree. But to avoid some curious noses before the gift giving, they locked the doors to it.

And right now, everything was too much and overwhelming for Harry. He worked the last day and the whole morning in the kitchen to bless them with a tasty meal. And he can't complain, he loves cooking and making people happy, but now he's tired of the stress and the small talk, excited chatting, and loud laughter. He needs a break and a quiet place.

Slowly he makes his way through the hallway to the kitchen. They believed his excuse to leave the table because of preparing some stuff. Darcy next to him immediately offered to help him, but Harry waved off. His daughter is always so nice and outgoing and searches for every excuse to help someone. He's proud of this good trait and how they raised their children, but right now he just wants to be on his own.

His body aches like always, I'm an old man, he thinks to himself and runs through his grey curly hair. Harry's glad that he still has his hair, at least. Some people in his age do not have hair anymore or only a few strands.

Just as he's about to walk into the kitchen, a sudden noise stops him from doing so. His hearing isn't the best anymore, but he can clearly tell that it's not coming from the dining room, otherwise it would be quieter.

He goes back to the direction he was coming from, but instead of walking inside the dining room, Harry follows the hallway until it makes a turn to the left. The red carpet helps him to make no noises with his steps, since he couldn't walk on tiptoes anymore to hide his presence.

Harry eyes around the corner and at the end of the hallway stands his grandchild Jasper. Freddie's son puts down a bowl full of dried Christmas-y smelling orange and cinnamon pieces on the little table. Harry assumes that it accidently must've fallen on the floor. Luckily, it didn't break into sharp pieces and hurt Harry's grandson. Jasper looks like he blames himself for doing what he did, but at the same time he's scared if someone heard the noise.
