As the day in the little town of Dramsmir endet, and the fading sun let the buildings made of straw and dirt shine in its warm, golden rays, Enerea walked home from the market square to bring her mother the missing ingredients for a potion as demanded. Her mother had been the towns medic eversince her father disappeared onto a mission for the crown. Leaving them behind to fend for themselves. Just like her mother she too had a connection to the world, deeper than most. Witchcraft ran through the family's bloodline, but they had to be discreed, as not to provoke the royal house whom had begun to take interest in any abnormal abilities that might help them with the "dragon problem" up north. At this point the town probably knew that their pharmacist was a witch, because her mother had yet healed everything that was not a shot to the heart. Enera had almost reached the little cube covered in ivy that was her home, as a shadow towered over her and made her freeze in place. The darkness moved further down the lane leaving a dark patch in the orange light of the dying sun. A weirdly familiar voice brought her out of the state of shock, telling her to run. Feeling the coldness of the silouette return, the little town burst into chaos as blue flames lit up buildings left and right. People were running and taking cover, Enrea fled into her home screaming out for her mother. With dust in the air she could see the fireplace and the cooking pot slowly bubbling with a purple potion, but her mother was not standing at her usual place right beside the fire. Shivers ran down her spine as she tried to shut out the noise of people yelling, but the heavy smell of uncontrolled fire made it impossible to keep a clear head and analyze the situation. Where was her mother? The voice she heard before called out her name now. "Enera get out of there now!" Confused but not questioning the instruction she left behind the cooking place and stumbled outside into the mess of frightened voices and smoke. Not a second too late, because behind her with a crash a ball of fire hit the entrance of her home and made the earth around her quiver. She was pushed away by the impact and landed harshly on her back, sharp pieces of rubble cutting into her skin. Her vision became blurry as the voice returned softly whispering in her head, but it all was drained out by the pain that slowly took over. A sillouette was quickly flying back and forth in the sky, then vanished into the night.
