Coming Home (AU)

Hello humans! It has been a minute so I decide why not since it is almost Christmas and if you celebrate it Merry Christmas! 

Nico's POV: 

Will has been deployed for around 6 months and it sucks especially right around the holidays. I mean yes, I have Hazel and Bianca for Christmas but it's still not the same when your husband is 2,000 miles away.

"How ya doing?" Hazel asked as she walked in with two cups of hot chocolate and handed me one.

"Eh I mean I'm not the happiest guy in the world but I'm not the most depressed person in the world." I said, "I mean I miss Will but I'll see him soon" I added.

She nodded and with that we watch very bad Christmas movies.

Will's POV: 

I am currently 2,000 miles away from Nico and it is dreadful which is why I'm in a Uber to the airport to surprise him for Christmas, yes I told Bianca and Hazel. I told them not to spoil this for Nico because it's the holidays and I know he doesn't like to be away from family and I'm the same with that. 

"Right here sir," I told the guy.

I quickly unloaded my bags from the trunk and quickly checked in and went through the hell of security. 

I finally made it to my gate when I got a call from Bianca.

"Hey Bianca what's up?" I ask her

"Nothing just checking in" She told me

"I'm just at the gate getting ready to board" I said

"Good because Nico has no idea and I'm very excited to see his reaction"

I laughed, "Well I can't too"

"Now boarding all active military personnel and families, we are also having families with small toddlers under the age of 3" the gate agent said. 

"Hey I got to go I'll see you guys soon" I said 

"Oh yeah see you soon" She said

I can't wait to see my husband.

Nicos POV:

It was Christmas Eve and nobody was here. Hazel went home to her fiance Frank and Bianca left to go to someones party. 

I was about to turn on another Christmas movie when I heard a knock on the door. Who in Hades would be out this hour?

I reluctantly got off the couch and went to the door.

I opened the door and was met with a box, it was nicely wrapped with red rapping paper with snowmen on it. It was so heavy to move in. 

Once I did I opened the top and Will popped up. 

"Will!" I exclaimed. 

"Hello love" He said with a smile.

"What are you doing here?" I asked

"Well they let the everyone go home early so I wanted to surprise you" He said

I jumped on him and hugged so hard not wanting to let go.

"I kinda need to breathe honey." He said.

"Come on I was just about to put on a movie" I dragged the Texan over to the couch.

Yep this is the best Christmas ever.
