Chapter 9

Sophie was at the training ground before anyone having an early breakfast earphones in as she hummed to the music they had a cup match the following day and Jonas has chosen to field a younger team giving most of his players a rest before the international break coming up.

She followed people out onto the training field smiled as Leah walked beside her 'Hey Doll' she said wrapping an arm around her shoulders. They decided to keep what was going on between them between themselves for now. They both did training and went home.

The following day they were at the stadium for the cup match and Sophie was getting changed into her kit when Jonas walked up to her 'You ready' he said as she nodded gently 'Yes boss ' she said as she stood up he handed her the armband and Sophie looked at it and sat down briefly as she put it around her arm patting it with a smile she tied her laces in her boots and went to the tunnel walking in front of the girls leading them out as the crowd started cheering. While they were lining up the line up was announced and the game stared

Sophie was on high alert they were being extremely rough for no reason as one of the younger players were taken down. Sophie went over to the player t that took her out and got in her face 'it's a game calm your team down or we will have a problem' she said stepping closer to her glaring she was beyond pissed now. Leah saw this and went over to her as it was near the touch line and pulled her away calming her down 'Where is it going to hurt them the most she said pointing to the score board Sophie breathed deeply and nodded gently and hugged her running into the pitch hi fiving Katie as she came on 'Let's do this' she said as they ran together

Sophie smirke sand ran her hand through her hair 'Come on Irish' she Shouted Katie ran up the pictch with the ball Sophie in the middle of the box waiting as she crossed it she headed it into the top corner and ran to Katie high-fiving her hugging her between them they scored a brace going into the final few minutes as one of the defenders took Sophie's legs out from under her winning herself a penalty she groaned as she let out a deeper breath lying on the grass before Katie helping her up and handing her the ball 'Show them that we are not to be messed with' she said She nodded setting the ball on the spot taking two steps backwards and two to the side as she closed her eyes waiting for the whistle as soon as she heard it her eyes flashed open as she hit the ball sending it to the top right corner.

she ran to the net and grabbed the ball seeing Sarina in the stands she stood infront of her and nodded holding her arms out as her team jumped on her sending her to the floor with a laugh as the final whistle went she walked around the pitch signing stuff for fans smiling for pictures and stopped by a little girl who asked for her shirt she smiled and took it off handing it to her he went into the changing room with the ball smiling. She was finally home.
