merry christmas!

i sit down near the fire place quietly humming to last christmas with my hot chocolate in my hand just scrolling through insta when i sense familiar arms sneaking around from behind, in which i immediately melt at the touch, no matter how long me and kit have been together. he comes closer to my ear, "morning love" as he kisses my cheek, i kiss him in return "morning baby, i didn't want to wake u up, you looked so cute all snuggled in the duvet so i figured i would let you be" i smile at him, moving over signaling for him to sit next to me as i pass him my hot chocolate to drink. as he sips it he said, "ah so that's why the bed felt empty, thought there was a sale at primark and you ran off" i laugh, "haha so funny. don't tease me about a primark sale 😒 those are once in a lifetime!" he chuckles. after a comfortable silence of me snuggling up into him and him drinking i softly ask "could it be just ,us, for christmas this year? it's our first one in our house and i-" before i come up with more reasons to convince him he cuts me off "of course love, in fact i was going to ask you that" i gently kiss his lips "i guess great minds do think alike"

skip to christmas day
bzz.bzzz. i groan as i go to turn my alarm off but then i realise, ITS CHRISTMAS! i quickly shake kit begging for him to wake up but as i turn hes not there, he enters our bedroom and only says "well are you coming or not?!" i start jumping for joy as i quickly brush my teeth freshen up etc i go downstairs to all the presents.
we open our presents as kit smothers me in kisses for getting him everything on his list i stop him and say "there's one more present.." he looks at me confused as i pass him a little box. little does he know i have a secret camera recording this entire moment. kit looks at me with tears in his eyes as he holds it up. my pregnancy stick. he looks at me in shock, "are you- is this- oh my god. wait are you pregnant-" before he could ramble on further i stop him with a kiss, "yeah it's real.." we both burst out into tears, happy tears, he tackled me into a hug and we just stay like that for a bit.
peaceful, best christmas ever, never wanting this moment to end.

AHHHH sorry for not posting but what do we think of this?? also it's like 1am so my brain isn't working but i felt like writing!!
anyways merry (almost) christmas to those who celebrate and if not, happy (almost) new year!!!
i'm not sure if this is my last chapter of 2023 (oml that sounds so weird) buttttt i will try to update soon i have so many unfinished drafts which i'll probably clear 😭
