Vincent P.O.V

A couple days prior . . .

“Are you sure you can handle it? Vincent I am serious. These aren’t big tough men you deal with on a normal basis. These are children.”

My mom is currently lecturing me.

I was asked to help lead the sports camp that my school offers for the middle school kids. I agreed to do it because it was during one of these camps I found out how much I love wrestling.

I could tell you all the full story and it could be so wholesome, but I have a reputation to uphold and I will not break that now.

“Vincent! Are you even listening to me?”

“No.”

My mom rolls her eyes and walks out, as she does she says

“I don’t know why I try anymore.”

“Well, you could always stop.” I call after her. I then go to the fridge and grab the milk to make myself some cereal.

Nothing is going to come between me and my love for Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

After I finish making and eating my cereal, I go and prepare my things for the day.

Yup, Today is the day I am going to make childrens dreams come true, while telling them the safety of wrestling.

Cause you know, rules are a thing?

Wow - I actually forgot all about the rules. I never follow them but I don’t do anything illegal.

I’m just a firm believer that some rules are meant to be broken. Not that they aren’t good or anything but you sometimes need to be able to decide for yourself. Like for example, being told drinking is bad for you. Let me find out for myself? Right.

Now before you all start panicking that I'm underage and drinking. I am not drinking and we keep being drug tested because my school isn’t the best otherwise. The sport department is amazing.

*Ring*

*Ring*

I look over and see my phone is ringing.

‘Annie is calling…’

I know it’s strange to have your girlfriend's name in your phone but she hates all the nicknames I give her.

Princess - She said it was so classic and expected of me, with my reputation.

Baby - She said it was too neutral.

Sweetie - It didn’t really fit her.

Don’t get me wrong, she is a sweet girl. She just hates everything and wants us to be this ideal couple. I think part of it is because of our friends.

“Hey Annie.”

“Vincey! Hey!” Her voice comes in loud and clear. “Your still coming over before you go back to the school right?”

“Of course I am, I am busy gathering my stuff right now and I’ll see you in a bit.”

“Alright, see you then!”

I roll my eyes and throw my phone on my bed as I go and grab my gear for wrestling.

What? I like to have all my stuff clean, because it catches the girls attention.

I show them I can handle my stuff…

I’ll spare your ears. . . For now.

I then shove everything in my bag before I go to leave.
