Ch.1: Never Too Late

It's only mid July and I've been too caught up in leaving for college on September 1st. I know it'll be completely different than what i'm used to here in Ohio, but i'm excited. Going to California to become a fashion designer is a dream I never thought could come true but I have one more month until i'm living it!

It's only 8am on a saturday morning and i've gotten around 10 emails titled: "Jessica Reed, We Can't Wait To Meet You!...." from the college i'll be attending. My group of friends have been telling me that i'm too consumed with school when summer is the time to let loose and have fun, are they right?

*Phone Buzzes*
Sarah: "GIRLLLL I HAVE THE BEST SUMMER BUCKET LIST FOR THE GIRLS TO DO! Don't be a loser and text back! xoxoxoxoxoxo!!!!"

Sarah is one of my friends since freshman year, and then there's Kayla, Ryan, and Ella. All girls. I'm only close with Ella, the rest I hang out with as a group only.

I've also met Ella freshman year and she's been by my side since... and so has her brother. Well, not as my friend but on my mind. Elliot, Elliot West is Ella's older brother but just by one year. He's 19, blonde, tall, attractive, but is kind of an ass in his crowd of people.. or is that just your average guy? Girls whisper about him in the halls, I can't tell if it's good talk or bad, but he's definitely not ugly and he winks at them when walking by, and it's weird to me. But whenever i'm with Ella, he appears. He's protective of her but when he sees me, he always has something rude to say. Ella tells me to just ignore him. However, hes the only person to refer to me as "Jess", and I really like it. It makes me feel special when he's the only person calling me that. Weird enough, I haven't seen it heard from him all summer, I'm not even sure what he's doing after this summer is over but i've heard from ella that he's looking to become a lawyer. Yeah that's funny, the guy who's always starting issues with the teachers and tries to act like a smart ass with his friends becoming a lawyer? We will see how that goes.

*Phone Buzzes*
Sarah: "Since you're too busy with college to answer (loooooser) then meet at the beach house! the group will be there!"

Well, I guess i'll be on my way. Sarah has a beach house, and yes surprisingly there are beaches in Ohio. But we've been going there during any vacation because why not party at a beach house whenever you get the chance?? I haven't done anything that you'd do during a normal summer, or at least anything interesting. I've gone to the beach a few times but mostly college packing, planning, and thinking has taken up the first two months of summer. I'm nervous to see what Sarah has planned.
