Emily Prentiss walked into the BAU office, ready for a new day of work. As the unit chief for the Behavioral Analysis Unit, she had a lot of responsibilities and expected the best from her team. As she walked towards her office, she saw a new face sitting at one of the desks, typing away on her computer. Emily walked over and introduced herself.
"Hi, I'm Emily Prentiss, the unit chief here. And you must be the new agent," she said with a warm smile.
The new agent looked up and smiled back. "Hi, I'm Y/n Y/l/n. It's nice to meet you, I've heard a lot about you," she replied, extending her hand for a shake.
Emily smiled, impressed by the new agent's confident yet friendly demeanor. She had heard about the outstanding qualifications of the new agent, and she was excited to have her on the team.
Over the next few weeks, Emily and Y/n worked closely together on cases. Y/n proved to be a valuable addition to the team, with her quick thinking and sharp instincts. As they spent more time together, Emily started to develop feelings for Y/n. But she knew that a romantic relationship between them was off-limits because of their work relationship.
Emily tried to push away her feelings and maintain a professional distance with Y/n. But it was difficult when they were working closely together and spending long hours at the office. And she couldn't help but notice that Y/n seemed to reciprocate her feelings.
One day, the team decided to go out for a drink after a particularly grueling case. Emily and Y/n ended up at the bar together, and as the night went on, they both found it harder to resist the growing attraction between them. But when Emily saw Y/n talking and laughing with another woman from the team, her jealousy flared up, and she knew she had to leave.
She excused herself and went to the restroom, trying to calm down and push away her feelings. But as she stood in front of the mirror, she knew she couldn't keep denying her feelings for Y/n. She was about to leave for the night when she heard the door open behind her.
Without even thinking, Emily turned and pulled Y/n into a passionate kiss. To her surprise, Y/n didn't pull away, and soon they were both caught up in their feelings for each other. They confessed their love for each other in that restroom, and decided to leave the bar and go home together.
As they lay in bed together that night, Emily couldn't believe how she had pushed away her feelings for so long. She realized that she didn't have to choose between her work and her love life, as long as they were both willing to make it work. And with Y/n by her side, she knew they could handle anything that came their way.
