I fell onto my bed, my mind exhausted from a long day at school. There wasn't much that I enjoyed about school, aside from my friends... partially. It's a bit of a repetitive pain to have to go through the same thing over and over every day. I guess some people would find the repetition comforting, maybe relaxing. I'm not that type. I pulled the covers over myself and let my head rest on the pillow.

"Good night..." I spoke aloud to no one in particular. The ceiling peered down at me as the gentle hum of my fan rocked me to sleep.

I woke up the next day feeling particularly light. I considered my appetite as the cause, but I don't think I changed anything. After smacking the top of my alarm into silence, I slipped out of bed and, unfortunately, my pants slipped off as well. "That's..." The combination of my voice with its new pitch and something below my waist... missing... suddenly combined all the strange occurrences this morning into one hard to accept truth.

"Ah-" I had nothing left to do but react in the way I figured was the most logical. "AAAAAAAAAH!" My shriek would've awoken the others in the house had I had anyone to wake up. "Wh-What?" I looked down at my lower half, then at my hands, then back at my lower half again. I bolted from my room into my nearby bathroom and stared this girl–my new self–in the face. "N- Why?" I spoke to myself and grabbed at my face, as if I could remove this reality with brute force. I tried pinching myself, but that simply released a girlish noise from my lips; I did not wake up. I spent a solid five, maybe ten minutes just looking at myself. A former boy now standing in front of a mirror, a loose shirt, no pants, and no idea what to do next. Eventually, I snapped out of my stupor and walked back to my room. I tried on a few articles of clothing before realizing that none of them would work. This was not my first plan, but it was my only real choice here.

"Yo, Ryo." The guy on the other end of the call yawned. "What's up? You don't normally call this early." I hung up. Shortly after, Kuo sent me a text asking what that was about. I hadn't even considered my voice until I started the call. If anyone can help me out here, it's him. I responded to his text with a request: "Sorry it's uuh kind of important can you come over today?" I followed that up with another text. "Like now?" Kuo responded almost instantly. "uh sure I guess as long as you dont make me late lol" I was a bit out of the way from Kuo's normal path to school, so we would almost certainly be late. Not that I planned to go to school today anyways. I grabbed the closest thing I could find to clothing, which was oversized pants and a hoodie, just in case the pants fell, which they would if I stood up, and took one quick look in the mirror. I hadn't noticed it before, but I am incredibly cute. My average-length brown hair is replaced by blonde hair that falls to a bit below my waist, and my eye color switched from a mixture of dark and light green to an incredibly striking blue. The look in my eyes still remained the same, though.

I heard the doorbell ring and trudged over to it, trying to keep myself from stepping on the legs of my pants as much as possible. I checked out the peep-hole and saw that it was Kuo. I inhaled, attempting to mentally prepare myself for his reaction. He knocked on the door. Holding my pants with one hand and the doorknob in the other, I let him in.

"Hey Ryo what's..." Kuo's gaze, which was slightly above my head as he was accustomed to dealing with my prior height, fell downwards. "Oh, are you Ryo's younger sister?" He dropped his height slightly, in order to get to my level. He had a comforting smile on his face, as if he was talking to a kid.

"Come on! Do I really look that young!?" I asked, accidentally coming across about as childish as I appeared, I would assume.

"Oh, I'm sorry. How old are you?" He sounded genuinely apologetic, yet his tone still held a form of slight condescension.

"I'm Ryo." I dropped the information with a serious voice, although my pitch may not have sold it well. Ryo chuckled, then went to rub my head. I quickly recoiled, almost tripping on my pants in the process, resulting in him noticing the clothes I'm wearing.
