 1 month before the wedding.

Ayaka woke up, feeling awful as always.

She awoke beside the most vile man ever, in any way shape or form. This was her fiance, although not by choice.

When Ayato told her initially that he would be setting up a marriage for her, she assumed it was a joke.

But Ayato was dead serious.

She fought and fought, but Ayato simply said, "I'm sorry, it has to be this way."

Sometimes she thinks about that moment. She wonders if she could have done anything to stop it. This time though, she pushed the thoughts away and got up.

She avoided Ayato's room, because, simply put, he was awful to her ever since the arranged marriage.

Instead, she went up to Thoma's room.

Thoma was always there for her, picking her up when she was down. (like when Tekina beats her up, and Ayato doesn't step in.)

"Hey."

Thoma rose up and stared at Ayaka. "What are you doing here...?"

"I'm- uh..." Ayaka stammered.

"Listen, can I talk to you for a sec? It's important, I promise."

Thoma smiled and made room for her on the bed, and Ayaka smiled right back and hopped on.

Thoma seemingly looked into her soul. "So, what's on your mind?"

"Oh crap... " Ayaka thought to herself, her face turning red.

"Well you see..." This was not a good idea. Why did she try and talk to Thoma?

"N-nevermind." She walked out of the room, disappointed in herself.

Next morning

Just like every morning, as soon as she woke up, it was wedding talk.

Ayaka was shook awake by a fuming Ayato.

Her eyes slowly opened, and quickly realized that she was in trouble.

"You idiot!" Ayato fumed. "You overslept, and now we're late to pick up your dresses!"

"Don't call me an idiot."

"Ugh... Shut up and get dressed."

Skip to that place where the traveler and Ayaka bought a  kimono, idk what its called LMAO-

When they arrived at a small shop in inazuma, Ayato quickly apologized for being late.

"Oh, it's very much okay sir!" The lady running the shop smiled at the two.

"Are you coming for the dress you ordered?" The lady politely inquired.

"We are indeed!" Ayato beamed in a sickening way. Ayaka yearned for him to be as kind to her as he was to the woman running the shop.

The lady fished for a box. After pulling something out of a cupboard, she smiled and handed the box to Ayato. "Thank you, ma'am." He looked at the box for a good 5 seconds, before tucking it under his arm and turning to leave.

After the two siblings leave, Ayato hissed at her, "You're lucky that this woman was so nice to us. I should give you a piece of mind when we get home." Ayaka just glared at him.

After getting home, Ayato sent Ayaka out to go get fireworks for the wedding. To be honest, Ayaka wanted nothing to do with the wedding. But Ayato forced her.

"Well", Ayaka thought to herself, "It isn't all bad. The owner of Naganohara fireworks is super bright and kind." Her thoughts took over and she spaced out, not noticing the person she bumped into.
