When Ayaka woke up, nobody was beside her. It was another day she didn't have to talk to Tekina,  and another day she could breathe!

Her mind instantly jumped to Yoimiya's invitation to eat with her. Maybe Ayato wouldn't want her to eat anything that might not make her wedding dress look perfect, but she didn't care at this point in time.

Ayaka dove in her closet to seek out an elegant dress. After an ungodly amount of time, she finally found an exquisite dress that was to her tastes.

Ayaka added glowing midnight blue rhinestones to the bottom of the dress, and after spinning around to make sure none fell off, she headed off for the Uyuu restaurant

Yoimiya POV

When I asked Ayaka to meet at a restaurant I love, I took hours planning what I was going to wear to impress her. Not sure how you would've missed the memo, but Ayaka is a big deal.

A very big one.

Ayaka POV

As she headed inside, Yoimiya noticed her and waved her to the table. After getting seated, a  giddy Yoimiya beamed at her. Her happiness was almost poisonous, making Ayaka's heart skip a few beats. Ayaka gazed at the orange haired girl, admiring her full orange eyes, as she fiddled with her messy hair. Ayaka's eyes darted to her V-neck dress. everything about Yoimiya seemed per-

"Uh, hello? Are you alright?" Yoimiya looked at her like she was from another planet

"Uh, hello? Are you alright?" Yoimiya looked at her like she was from another planet.

Ayaka jumped and turned red. "Oh my gosh! I am so sorry.... could you tell me when I space out? It's kind of embarrassing.."

"Sure, Yaka!" Yoimiya smiled a full tooth smile, the ones you know are true.

"Anyways.. I'm going to go up and order, so if you want to eat something, tell me!"

Ayaka's expression faltered. "I'm fine." She didn't want to take the chance, because of how Ayato insisted he could see when she ate too much. "Yoimiya hugged her, noticing her gloomy demeanor. "Well, alright. But if you get hungry, I'll share some of my food with you." Ayaka looked up at her. "You would do that for me?" Yoimiya nodded, then walked away to order her food. Ayaka blushed. Why was she so damn sweet?! She wanted to run up and hold  Yoimiya, but controlled herself and ran her hands in her hair.

A few minutes later, Yoimiya waddled back over to their table with a variety of food in her hands. Seeing how many plates she was holding, Ayaka walked over to help her.

"Hey, do you need some help?" She didn't wait for her answer. Ayaka took a stack of plates from her hands and carried them to the table, then sat herself down.

Yoimiya soon after walked over to the table. "Thanks for that, but you didn't have to help me! since you're not eating, you need to save energy."

Ayaka couldn't fathom anyone being that caring for her, except for maybe Thoma. It was something that had never happened to her before. "Well.. I guess that I do need to save energy. Still though, I couldn't resist helping you."

As the two girls chatted over dinner, one conversation stood out.

"Hey, Yaka, have you been planning your wedding? I know the Yashiro Commission handles stuff like  that... but are you involved at all?" Ayaka sighed, not particularly wanting to remember the wedding.

"Sometimes.. But usually, they prepare most things. The fireworks me and Ayato ordered were custom. For him, at least. I didn't get a say in ordering anything. Actually, the only thing I picked out for myself was the dress, and even then, it had to be blue or white. Oh..." Ayaka's face turned  rose red as she heard herself rambling."I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to vent..."

Yoimiya put her hand on Ayaka's chest. "It's fine. I'll listen to you when you vent. you can tell me anything. We are friends, after all!"

Ayaka looked at the food. It was all finished, as they had been talking for a long time."Can we go to your house? I don't really want to tell you here. It's a bit too... open."

Yoimiya's house

As the two settled on Yoimiya's bed, Ayaka sighed. "So, uhm..."

Yoimiya suddenly embraced her in a tight hug. "Please, tell me. It's alright. You're my best friend, and keeping secrets is awful for you. I care about you a lot, Yaka." Ayaka started crying, as she opened up to Yoimiya and all the shitty things that were going on in her life.

Yoimiya stared at her in shock, and her eyes were beginning to water. "Oh my gosh.. I never knew you lived like that. I'm so sorry, Yaka. You could always stay in my house!"

Ayaka didn't say anything. Instead, she hugged Yoimiya.
