Breaking

Mother says your father is a mess,
your father is struggling,
trying his very best.
You try to take both sides,
but it's tearing you in two.
If one went away abroad,
who is going to take care of you?

A single mother of two is slowly drowning,
all the stresses of money are amounting.
She says she's going to give up,
you rarely see her cry.
When she says it's ok,
you want to tear your heart out and die.

A father who you see every few days or so
living on his own,
getting along.
His parents are not going to be around for long
he cries to you, and you cry along

Both have flaws, and it makes your brain ache.
Which side will you take?
How much can you take before you break?
was this all your mistake?

Mother gets frustrated cause your father won't pay.
What she doesn't realise is that he skips food a lot,
to give you all he's got.

Your father just says your anxietys a mess,
and your mum says autism ,
just to think she's the best.

Your head is tuning,
you're lost in the fog.
Your peer mentor is great,
but the world is just tuning out.
can you even hear them shout across the phone?
At each of their houses,
which one do you call home?

How much more can you take,
before you're going to break?
You've had enough of the world faking.
It's not helping you fix the breaking?

Because after all.
Who's going to fall,
when the world is collapsing all around you?

The tears will dry over time,
just try to smile through.
Be brave for those people,
they are counting on you.

Crying is ok is what you said,
but one day, it's going to keep you in bed.

The world is going to spin around without you just fine,
Does it really matter how or what time?

Would your parents blame themselves ?
or the other one?
Fighting over sister now your long gone?
Can you keep it together while the rough patch mellows theough
