PROLOGUE

Freddie Butler was known as a Formula One driver who was always chasing.

Chasing points, podiums, race wins, team mates and championships.

He was always the chaser.

He hated how the media and fans turned on him multple times within a season, he often felt like a failure and that only intensified when his best friend distanced himself from him, ending their frendship.

Nico Rosberg felt bad when Freddie was hit by setback after setback, it wasn't easy to see such a friendly guy become such an empty shell. His teammate might've turned his back on Freddie, but he stayed there, helping him pick back up the broken pieces and sticking them back together again.

He stayed there and was always around in case that Freddie needed him. He'd even stay at Freddie's home, just in case that he was needed, well, that was the reason he had told himself, the real reason why being very different.

Maybe a part of him stayed with Freddie in case that he needed him, but maybe the rest of him stayed with his Freddie because he always wanted to be around him.

The scary part though, was that Nico Rosberg didn't know when he had started calling him, his Freddie.
