Ali was hiding behind a stump, trying to stay out of sight. She could hear the rumble of tanks in the distance and knew that she and her mother needed to make a run for safety. They were near a destroyed windmill, and it was the only place they could think of as a haven. As she waited for the tanks to pass, her mother was gathering supplies from an old crashed plane nearby. The situation was tense, but they had to be resourceful to survive in this dangerous environment. While their ancestors observed, efforts were underway to guide them to their destination. Simultaneously, opposing forces are pushing them closer to danger. Purely by chance, a fleet flew overhead and unleashed a barrage of bombs on the tanks advancing through the small, unfamiliar town.
