Yoo Joonghyuk shook the thought from his head calming himself. The atsmophere in the room shifted as Kim Dokja brought the plates to him, sitting beside him .Yoo Joonghyuk noticed the warmth in Kim Dokjas eyes, compared to the cold and unwavering eyes the first time they met. 

"Here you go Murim Dumplings the best in the demon realm" Kim Dokja handed him a hot plate.

 Yoo Joonghyuk quietly accepted his gaze lingering on Kim Dokjas face. 

"Thanks." he said his voice unsually soft. 

The two began to eat in a comfortable silence. Soon the tension between the two began to ease. 

Kim Dokja narrowed his eyes at the sight of a salad topped with tomatoes next to the dish. "You know tomatoes are really disgusting" his voice shivered dramatically. 

"I don't mind them."

"You should they're horrible!" 

Yoo Joonghyuk felt a small smile tugging at his lips as the man rambled. 

"You should meet my friends, you probably wouldn't like most of them." Kim Dokja smiled thinking about Yoo Joonghyuk and Han Sooyoung. 

Yoo Joonghyuk narrowed his eyes remembring Kim Dokjas black haired companion. "I think I met Han Sooyoung." 

"Shes pretty annoying right?" he smirked. 

"You're worse." Yoo Joonghyuk said taking a bite out of the dumplings. 

Kim Dokja rolled his eyes. "Coming from you." 

Yoo Joonghyuk let a small smile escape "I'm not used to having companions." Yoo Joonghyuk admitted, his eyes fixed on his plate. 

Kim Dokjas smile softened "It's not a bad thing you know, having someone by your side to share your burdens." 

"I'm sure you wold have many companions if you didn't choke them out first." Kim Dokja joked fiddling with his chopsticks. 

"I've lost companions before." he said his voice quiet.

 Kim Dokjas gaze shifted into understanding "So have I, but this time I don't plan on loosing another." he said quietly turning his gaze at Yoo Joonghyuk. 

Yoo Joonghyuks expression warmed and met Kim Dokjas eyes. He itched to say something to the man, anything. He shifted back, his eyes glued to the floor. 

"Yoo Joonghyuk I-" Kim Dokja was cut off, the doors burst open and two kids ran into the room. 

Kim Dokja stood up eyes wide as the pair collied into him hugging him tightly. "Shin Yoosung, Lee Gilyoung nice to see you." he smiled. 

Yoo Joonghyuk noticed the small disappointment in Kim Dokjas eyes as he talked to the kids. 

"What was he going to say?" 

"Ahjussi I was so worried about you." Shin Yoosoung sniffled into Kim Dokjas coat. 

Lee Gilyoung nodded in agreement. "Yoo Sangah told us what happened." 

Lee Gilyoung said somberly eyeing Kim Dokja. Kim Dokja sighed. 

"Well we overheard her talking to a doctor about it." Lee Gilyoung admitted sheepishly. 

"Of course." Kim Dokja kneeled down to the childrens height. 

"I'm sorry for worrying you." He patted both of their heads.
