Vincent and the boy who hit Evelyn with his car went to the hospital with her.
"Hey Doc, her heart is still beating. She's not dead!"
A doctor came over and took a look. He turned to the two men and said,
"Evelyn is in a coma."
At this, Vincent got so mad and threw his hand at a mirror in the hospital room, causing it to shatter and have himself escorted out by security.
When Vincent left, the eight-teen year-old boy, Andy, leaned down and kissed Evelyn's forehead. He started to tear up just looking at her. Her sleek brown hair, layered with beautiful defined waves. The ends all seemed to coil up in lovely curls, and he absolutely loved that. He held her hand up to his, and signed letters into her palm.

G-E-T

He doubted that she would even feel that, but he didn't care. He loved a complete stranger. I guess that's true love.

I woke up in a field of long grass. Where am I? As I sat up to see over the cold, wispy grass, I could make out a house and a tall figure. No, my house and Vincent. Even though I knew he was going to yell at me and punish me for leaving, I walked straight up to him.
"I am so so sorry I really am...!"
"It's okay,"
I gasped.
"We have been waiting for you for such a long time!"
"What?"
"You were missing for a few days. I was worried sick, but I knew you would come back. Wanna come inside and have a nice bowl of clam chowder?"
Oh. My. Gosh. Is he really saying this? Was I missing that long? I did not object, since normally he would get angry about me running off in the middle of the night. Plus, a warm bowl of soup sounds pretty good right now.
We walked in together, and there was a boy sitting in the living room. He looked a little older than me, but almost the same age. Vincent introduced me to him.
"Evelyn, this is Andy, our new neighbor."
I said hi, and couldn't help but notice his piercing blue eyes. They were amazing, like you could get lost in them. One of his eyes were covered by a swoop of black hair, but he shyly pushed it out of the way. He had a lip piercing on the left side of his lip and he bit on it as he gave a little wave.
Wait. Timeout. The reason why Vincent is acting so nice is because of this boy. Since he's in our house, he can't do anything to hurt me. The three of us walked into the dining room kitchen, and Andy and I grabbed a chair. We had a decent conversation, and It was nice getting to know him. His voice was smooth and dark.
"So what kind of music do you listen to?"
He pointed to his shirt which had the words Of Mice And Men on it.
"Oh yeah I like that band. Also Pierce The Veil, Falling In Reverse, Black Veil Brides, Motionless In White..."
"No way I love those too! That's awesome!"
I blushed and turned around to see Vincent chopping up some apples and putting macaroni in the microwave. Mmmm. Macaroni.
When we finished dinner, I said goodbye to Andy and he gave me his number so we can talk. As I walked up the stairs to my room, Vincent called me back over. Oh no. He is going to beat me. I did as he said (because if I didn't the situation would only get worse) and walked back into the kitchen.
"I forgot to say I love you and goodnight."
He kissed me on my forehead. No. Way.
"You are the best daughter I could ever ask for!"
I ran back upstairs and into my room.
What's going on? Why is he acting like he loves me? Oh well... I guess life isn't that bad after all. Goodnight.
