2.6 Storytime

*2 days later*

All of us got to skip school or work yesterday because Dad told us to that way we could gain ourselves together and focus on school

I mainly keep to myself today, even with Rayna next to me trying to help me

I just am not in the mood for anything, my dad could've died, my uncle could've died, they both are young, my dad is 37 and my uncle is 31

(guys those ages I think are correct don't mind it if you do the math and it's not right)

"Max, are you okay? You can talk to me" Rayna says

We are sitting outside on a cold day, it sprinkles rain every now and then but I don't care, I'm wearing my most comfortable hoodie, I'm sitting next to my girlfriend, I don't know what else

I lay my head on her shoulder and she keeps trying to get me to tell her

I don't really want to tell her but, I do at the same time, I don't want to tell her right now

"I'll tell you on the way back to our neighborhood" I say

"What's up with your voice?" She asks

"I don't know, I was crying a lot last night for the same reason I wasn't here yesterday" I say

"Your voice keeps cracking and coming out in an uneven tone" she says while rubbing my back

"Sorry.." I say

"Hey, don't be sorry, it's not your fault, have you eaten today? I have some food in my backpack" she says

"I'm not hungry" I say

"But have your eaten?" She asks

"No" I say

"I know your not in the mood for food, but, you need to eat, here" she says while handing me a peanut butter sandwich

"I don't want to eat" I say

"I don't care, you can act like you eat it for all I care, but please, I don't care if you don't eat that right now, eat something later today, not eating is bad for you" she says

I take a bite but I don't taste any flavor

"Thank you, now.." she checks the time before continuing, "we have to go home"

I get up and walk with her and tell her what happened

She listens, doesn't interrupt, just listens

"I'm so sorry.." she says

She hugs me and I hug her back, we hug for awhile before she goes to her house and I go to mine

I get home and nobody else is home like usual, I go up to my room and do my homework and study, I'm not allowed to do anything electronic until Mom and Dad get home, unless it's a call or text from family or if involves studying or homework

As usual everyone comes in the door at the same time
