Defying All Odds

Chapter 3

Jairaj took a seat in the chair, looked at the papers in front of him, and then turned to face his party members, the majority of whom are ministers that he has appointed to various departments. 

 We have gathered here to talk about the Ajmer accident. It is imperative that you are aware that this accident claimed the lives of four innocent people, all of whom were young children. 

We therefore made the decision to provide 10/lakh  to each family whose loved one who lost his life in the accident. “

   “That is all, Mr. Raizada. Did you not want to talk about who was at fault here? Mr. Chaudhary ought to accept full responsibility for this mishap and step down from his position.”

“So this is demand or threat ?“

   The people in the present were afraid of his words and spoke hesitantly.

“Since we selected you to be our leader, why will we threaten you?”Another minister, Mr. Sachdev, attempted to deal with Jai

    “You should clarify your facts because I was chosen by the people of this state to be their leader, not you or anyone else. Regarding this choice, I will manage it according to my methods. “

  “Mr Raizada, we are just worried about how our party is perceived. You are aware that the opposition will undoubtedly drag out this situation and seize this excellent chance to harm us.”

“ Does anyone truly believe that I am ignorant of this? But rather than focusing on finding a solution, why are we considering their next move?” Jairaj replied in a bitter tone .

    The entire conference room fell silent as Jairaj spoke, and Mr. Chaudhary exhaled with relief because these members were so adamant about his resignation.

   Following a discussion of each member's experiences with the media, which will be frequented by media representatives in light of the accident, they will respond to them. Thus, Jairaj should provide the media person with a brief version of the same statement. 

 The meeting was soon adjourned, but before Chaudhary could depart, he stood up..Jairaj called for him.

“    Mr Chaudhary ,Since it was your department, I would like to speak with you briefly. You should be especially ready to deal with the media. “

  

Mt chudhary took his seat again and Jairaj ordered tea for them.

“ Mr. Chaudhary as you are aware, your department's negligence led to this accident. In my opinion, you ought to step down from this position immediately.assuming full accountability for this incident “

  Given that he was thought to be among the closest people to both Jairaj's father and the former Cm, Mr. Chaudhary was taken aback by his remarks.The same ministry was headed by Mr. Chaudhary ever since Jairaj's father served as chief minister.

   "What are you saying?" Also, you are aware that it was an accident. This accident was not something I planned. And I have years of experience running this department. You may even speak with your father. He will tell you how productive I have been over the years. It is unbelievable that you implied that my political career would be destroyed by a fucking accident.”

      

  They had to stop talking when a waiter came to get the tea, and Jairaj gave Chaudhary the tea cup after the waiter departed.

  Jairaj had already anticipated this, so he was not shocked by Chaudhary's response.

There was a brief pause before Jairaj continued.
