"Okay class time to pick partners" I hear my cheerful language arts teacher say. That's when it hit me, I have no friends in this class yet. In a panic I look around already seeing people paring up. Then I spotted a familiar face. A few seats in front of me I saw Connor and he looked just as worried as me. I stood up and made my way over to him. I suddenly got nervous to talk to him, why? I never get nervous. I clenched my fists and stepped forward.
My heart pounded against my chest, "Hey Connor partners?" I blurted out. I covered my mouth realizing I was super loud. He didn't seem to mind, He just smiled and said "Hey Kaitlyn, um...". Suddenly I could no longer hear him, I just stared at him in amazement, he had such a great smile. He's perfect teeth that resembled stunning pearls, his lips so full and rich that flowed perfectly together. His smile was so beautiful that even though it lasted only secons it seemed to last a life time. I shifted my gaze to his eyes, they were also breath taking, a beautiful emerald color.
I followed my gaze back to his mouth, Something was different, wait a second its moving.
"...do you mind if I partner with someone else?"
"Wait what?"
"Well it's just we are already friends and I kind of just wanted to make some more friends here."
I swear my jaw actually hit the table. I took me a second to pick my jaw up and recollect myself. I felt as if someone was squeezing my heart, Why do I feel like this?
"Sure I guess" I finally said.
"Thanks Kaitlyn, you're the best"
I put on a fake smile and saw him off. Now what do I do? I caned the room and found another girl sitting alone so I approached her.
The bell rang out signaling the end of school. I said bye to the girl I was working with, let out a long sigh, then headed out the door. Not being able to wait any long to leave, I just wanted to go home right away.
As I walked trough the halls to my locker I smiled at people as I walked by. As I approached my locker I saw a little pink note taped to my locker with my named written on it. I pulled the note off and begin reading.

The gang and I are meeting at the game store today at 3:00 you come and meet us there.

Great now I don't even get to go home yet. I looked at my phone and read the time 2:40, looks like I'm walking. I headed to the doors, all the skip no longer in my walk.
I open the door and was greeted by the casher, who knew exactly who I was. I could hear laughter from the back and I know it was my friends. I continued to the back till I saw my friends. I smiled till I was Connor sitting there. I didn't know he was going to be here. I stopped in my tracks, then my friends called me over.
I was quite most of the night till I decided to forgive Connor for totally rejecting me. As we got ready to leave at the end of the night Connor came up to me.
"So Kaitlyn"
" Oh hey Connor what's up?"
"Um... Can I have your number?"
"Yeah for sure!"
I pulled out a pen and wrote my number down for him. He smiled and left. I watched him as he left. As I stood there my vision blurred and I had a shooting pain in the back of my head. I grabbed Retnah's arm to hold myself up.
"Kaitlyn what's wrong?" Retnuh said sounding worried.
" nothing im fine just a little dizzy."
That's all it is right?
