Small gore warning: stomach piercing, paper cut, almost snapping a bone, organ movement.

They are the priority.

Guilt overwhelmed him as he stood nearby the Creator, watching their expression falter as they realise the burden of their injury. The Yaksha's eyes lowered toward the ground, accessing his memory to try to find any clues to help the healing process. His mind blanked before his body took action. As he glanced up, he noticed the scenery change to the Inn he tended to station himself at, observing the balcony view before turning towards the room he had been gifted. He always denied needing the comfort, but he at least knew where he could store his belongings (although he held very little).
The pitch-black room didn't falter him at all, adjusting his eyesight as he manoeuvred towards the small shelf he owned where he kept his knowledge. Considering he didn't go to the city, he was incredibly lucky with the generosity Rex Lapis had. He assumed it was so he could research what he knew, but the soft look (that he admittedly tried to ignore) within the God's eyes told him otherwise. Rex Lapis adored knowledge, rivalling the Goddess of Wisdom in Sumeru, as he shared stories he knew to help set records straight.
Which led to Xiao owning books to do with the Creator. His fingers brushed the spine of the books as he searched for a particular title, doing his best to remain ignorant to the heat on his face as he passes a few too many books for his liking. As time ticked, he decided to skim-read the contents page of each book to find what he was searching for. It seemed as though they were in the stages of Elemental Manipulation, but he couldn't find anything that helped the process. The disregarded books fell upon the unused bed, sinking into the plush of the pillows, as he continued his search.
He paused as he found a book, removing it from the shelf as he sat himself down to read through the facts and steps he needed. He lost himself in the words, memorising everything he could until the clang of his polearm caught his attention. He lifted his head instantly, narrowing his eyes as he saw the Deathmatch flicker with gold as it materialised in front of his feet. His eyebrows furrowed, lifting the weapon before recalling one of the other books.
「 Vessels are expected to give up their weapons and abilities for the Creator's Will. 」
His body jolted as he stood up, exiting the room to see the sun's location as his mind cursed at his inability to keep track of time. His polearm clipped to his back once again as his abilities were handed back to him, finding himself back where he had left the Creator to see their absence.
"Shit-" He let the informality through as frustration filled his veins. What did he expect? He wasn't supposed to take hours, he felt as though it had been mere minutes maximum.
The golden irises of his eyes dulled with concern, scanning the area as the city below spoke volumes. He had no idea where to even search.
