FOOTSTEPS echoed through the empty hallway of the school as their feet shuffled through the smooth wooden floor. The mysterious men led the way as they walked inside, making a beeline towards the classroom they had used for important meetings and discussions. It was silent for a while. No one dared to speak at first, not until the grumpy-looking brother broke the suffocating silence.

"So why the heck did we even help her? She almost got us killed!" That was the first thing he said.

Wow, harsh... His question hurt her, but at the same time, he was right, it would've been better if they left her alone. Saving her in the convenience store almost cost their lives, and it was a risky move. If it wasn't them she encountered, she would've been sure she was a zombie by now, it was understandable to be selfish in a world like this.

"Hey, be nice," the golden-eyed boy stepped in, giving his grumpy-looking brother a stern expression. Y/n looked back to him. Now she was sure that he was the most responsible one out of everyone. He always seemed to be there to keep everything in order, and this was the second time he scolded his brothers when being mean to her. She felt rather comfortable and thankful for his presence.

"Anyone would've done the same in that situation," He added, crossing his arms in the process.

No, not really. If it wasn't you guys who saved me, I would be in a human mukbang show by now or be that one side character that dies first in horror films.

"This is all bullshit!" The grumpy brother scoffed.

Okay, this emo salt shaker is seriously starting to annoy me. He couldn't even open the gate until I threw myself against it.

"Well, nothing really ever pleases you, so... Quit yapping man, I'm tired," Blaze yawned, stretching his body, feeling satisfied when he hears the pop. Should I say something, at least? I can't keep making up nicknames for them in my mind. Y/n was still shaken from the sudden turn of events. One minute, she was searching for food, and now she has herself associated with unknown identical young men.

Although she feels like she should at least talk to them, she was still anxious. The grumpy 'emo salt shaker' gave the fiery-eyed man a venomous glare, but the latter wasn't scared; he was rather relaxed at this point.

"I'm Gempa," Y/n's self-proclaimed guardian angel began, smiling down at her with his welcoming and reassuring presence. So far, he's the only one who's been nice to me. Is he a blessing to me or something? All week I've been receiving nothing but karma and unluckiness, is this finally my rainbow behind the rain? While she was busy trying to figure out her delusional thoughts, Gempa repeated what he said.

"My name, Gempa," he gave her probably the nicest smile he could muster. She swore she could feel the angels sing and the flowers bloom when he gave her that smile. Bro, where have you been all of my life─ Y/n snapped out of her thoughts and fixed her throat, she shouldn't let herself get carried away by this awful amount of kindness by this mysterious yet... blessed stranger.
