The reveal

It wasn't exactly very easy to hide this sort of serious relationship from all the other angels, especially since everyone in heaven knew Adam as a 'never gong to be in love again angel' and his assistant Lute as a person that seemed to never fall into that concept that they called love. It was obvious to the duo that they had to hide their relationship since it would impact their heavily built up reputation, being in love would be very distracting from their work as the top exorcists in heaven and just overall wouldn't be fun to explain if anyone did find out.

In the past there were a couple of close calls where someone had almost walked in on them when they were doing something that they weren't supposed to be doing at that time, since their schedules were almost always very full, they had to sometimes sneak off from that task to meet up with eachother, it was sometimes difficult since most or their tasks didn't have them anywhere close to eachother, Lute thought her role would offer otherwise, thinking they would be around eachother at all times yet they both managed, luckily they managed to not raise any suspicions by quickly breaking up their small kisses or small affections like hugs or anything lovingly like.

Even if they were caught doing something that was slightly lovey-dovey it would still ruin their heavily built up reputation, if the word got round that they were being affectionate with eachother then things would become slightly harder. Everyone always viewed the pair as dangerous and terrifying exorcists who wouldn't be stopped by anything, even going as far as leaving their own trusty comrades behind to continue the extermination or battle.

To everyone in heaven and hell it seemed like they could never fall in love with eachother, or anyone in general, it looked like It was never going to happen between the duo, yet the two main characters of the exorcist army still found a way to some how helplessly fall in love with each other even though they both knew about the consequences that would leave a huge and terrible scar on their reputation if they weren't extremely careful around people and their surroundings.

However not all relationships can be kept secret, so it was finally that time when the oldest of the relationship, Adam finally felt ready to open up to the world --or heaven in this context-- about their relationship, Lute always said that she'd be ready to tell other people no matter those consequences or problems or even all the hate that they might recive, she had always waited for Adam to also be ready. She had always been the more patient person of the duo, after all, Adam had the patience of a small annoying kid, which is something that Lute jokingly called him in the first couple of months of their relationship.

It was also quite funny with how they both hooked up with eachother, Lute had the biggest and a slightly obvious crush on her boss, yet he was the one who initiated the kiss by pinning her up against the wall as he slowly kissed her, slightly scared of that chance of rejection even though he knew fully well how obsessed Lute was with him. With her returning and continuing that lovely kiss they both knew exactly what they were getting themselves into.

The older angel casually walked down the lengthy yet very pretty hallway, which were built with long paper white walls with yellow and gold tints just to get to one of the multiple training room, where Lute was currently located, she was training up some of the slightly weaker angels to become more on par with the other exorcists on the team so they could do more damage in exterminations.

Once Adam arrived to the very open training room, he quicky noticed that the couple of angels that Lute was training were already extremely exhausted with Lute staring at them all smug like, of course, Lutes training is more stricter and harder but it isn't as difficult as Adam's, which is why most people picked to train with Lute even though she was harder to battle with, having much more swifter movements and better protective gear made it harder, yet it was a higher chance of not dying by a single attack.

Adam made his way down to where Lute was currently standing as she watched the other angels catch their lengthy breaths from her training, it didn't long until the other angels and Lute noticed Adam walking over towards them. Two of the three angels looked back at their trainer only to see that she was just as confused as they were. After all Adam wasn't supposed to be anywhere in this area right now, infact, he was supposed to be on the other side of the building.

It wasn't very often when Adam showed his smug face to the training areas, so this was definitely uncalled for. Typically he would be elsewhere doing work or something else that was very important, yet it was never the same, its always different for Adam, his work could never stick to being the same for at least two days for him. Once he made his way into Lute's personal area he stared down at her and his assistant returned the favour with a very confused look on her seemingly masked face, she was very confused about Adam and what he was currently doing, they hadn't planned to sneak off from their duty at this hour, had they? But even if they did, Adam wouldn't go out of his was to get her. This was very out of the ordinary from anything that he has ever done before.

The three other angels just stared in confusion and somewhat shock at what was unfolding right in front them, they had quickly noticed that Adam had a genuine smile on his face as he looked at his dear assistant, a genuine smile on Adam was insanely rare, he would always wear a fake smile whenever and wherever he went out, or even around his own exorsists it was also very rare, unless he was delivered thrilling news then it would almost never happen. What exactly was happening between them? that was the one and only thought that was running through their heads as the two angels had a random staring at each other.

They didn't share any words, it seemed like time was going extremely slowly, a couple seconds felt like entire hours to Lute. She had no clue what the hell Adam was trying to do but it definitely wasn't funny in any way. Surprisingly, Adam didn't take much time to do anything else, he swiftly engulfed Lute in a gentle hug while keeping that adorable smile on his face, the shock came just as quick as it left, it only took a couple of seconds for her to process everything, but she knew fully well what this was signalling. He was ready.

She returned the hug and lifted her self up to her tip toes to deliver a small kiss on his cheek, most of the time Lute didnt like being this short but Adam found it utterly adorable. Adam's genuine smile became even bigger and brighter, the both of them shared a deep and loving kiss before they broke apart, they ended the warm hug. The duo both sticked to just holding eachothers hands as they shared a low talk between themselves.

The three angels couldn't be bothered with listening, their thoughts were filled with absolute confusion as they just watched whatever had just played out Infront of them, they had just been a whiteness to whatever that was, one of the angels realized that she could use this to her own advantage, spread a rumour and wait for a chance to become the next head exterminator. The other two had much more different and supporting thoughts with their newly open relationship. It had been a while since Adam had been in a relationship and it seemed like this one would last for an eternity.
